Ephesians 2:4-7 LITV
4) But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5) even we being dead in deviations, He made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are being saved),
6) and raised us up together and seated us together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,
7) that He might demonstrate in the ages coming on, the exceeding great riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:1-4 LITV
1) If, then, you were raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is sitting at the right of God; Psa. 110:1
2) mind the things above, not the things on the earth.
3) For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God.
4) Whenever Christ our life is revealed, then also you will be revealed with Him in glory.

So where are "we" exactly?

Our bodies are clearly terrestrial. Our soul goes with the body, also terrestrial. What about our spirit?

That which is born of flesh is flesh. That which is born of Spirit is spirit. Notice I capitalize the first "Spirit", God's Spirit, we are born from Him.

Is the Spirit terrestrial? I should say not!! God is Spirit, not within the confine of our terrestrial realm.

Romans 6:10-11 LITV
10) For in that He died, He died to sin once for all; but in that He lives, He lives to God.
11) So also you count yourselves to be truly dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are dead to sin, but alive unto God.

Seated in the heavenlies in Christ, Who returned to heaven until that time He returns. We are in Him, we are in the celestial kingdom.

We have life that is beyond this realm, that defies this realm, that is not bound by this realm. We are in communion with God outside of this realm, and as we come to understand this, we then live within this realm in a manner consistent with our life in Christ.

1 John 4:15-17 LITV
15) Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
16) And we have known and have believed the love which God has in us. God is love, and the one abiding in love abides in God, and God in him.
17) By this, love has been perfected with us, that we have confidence in the day of judgment, that as He is, we are also in this world.

Much love!

I think of it like, being hid in Christ in God, we are so far removed from things here, life on earth the way we normally live it is a fiction. The reality is more like Jesus when He was living among us.

We are celestial beings living in terrestrial bodies in the terrestrial realm. And when we close our eyes here, we open them there.

Much love!

Amen, how true. This world and all its phony sparkling lures have faded away for sure. There is nothing real on this earth anymore. It's a wholly different world, for sure. The atmosphere out there is so thick with evil, you could cut it with a dull knife!
Our family's, Christian friends and church's need to be praying together every day!
I cannot wait to open my eyes "there"!

We are dead to sin, but alive unto God.

“Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.” (Romans 6:12-13)

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.” (Romans 6:12-13)
For me, this is one of the most powerful parts of the Bible. I mean, it's silly to say something like that, but even so, the power of this passage!

Romans 6:6-14 KJV
6) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7) For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8) Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9) Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10) For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11) Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13) Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14) For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Not "pretend dead", but actually dead to sin. Dead to sin, and alive to God, so don't let sin rule in your body.

Give yourself to God as someone who from among all the dead ones has come to life!

We were dead in sin, now we are dead to sin, and alive to God, so live as someone who is alive to God.

And not only alive TO God, but alive with His very life,

Galatians 2:19-20 KJV
19) For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
20) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Seated in the heavenlies together with Christ, hid with Christ in God, not I that live but Christ lives in me, Christ in you, the hope - the certain expectation based on the strength of our faith - the hope of glory.

Much love!

Not "pretend dead", but actually dead to sin. Dead to sin, and alive to God, so don't let sin rule in your body.
ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:6 The power of sin has been broken in those who
believe, for their old self (lit., “old man,” meaning who they were in Adam)
was crucified and put to death with Christ. They were born into the world
as sinners, with the result that their bodies were ruled by sin. Body of sin
refers to the rule of sin, but without excluding the involvement of the
personal self that lives through the body. Sin’s rule, however, was broken
when Christians died with Christ, and therefore they are no longer enslaved
to sin.

Paul does not argue that Christians do not sin at all (a view called
sinless perfection); instead, the tyranny, domination, and rule of sin have
been defeated for them. This means that the normal pattern of life for
Christians should be progressive growth in sanctification, resulting in ever

greater maturity and conformity to God’s moral law in thought and action.

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:7 One who has died means one who has died with
Christ.

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:10 died to sin. Jesus died because he took sin upon
himself, but his resurrection demonstrates that he has defeated both sin and
death.

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:11 Dead to sin means dead to the pervasive love for
and ruling power of sin. Christians must realize that the mastery of sin has

been broken in their lives (see note on v. 6).

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:12–13 The tension surfaces here between what God
has already accomplished and the responsibility of his people to obey. They
are still tempted by desires to sin and must not let those desires gain control.

Each day they must give themselves afresh to God.

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:14 sin will have no dominion over you. This is not a
command but a promise that sin will not triumph in the lives of Christians.
Because they live in the new era of fulfillment, they are no longer under the
old era of redemptive history; that is, they are no longer under law, where
the Mosaic law and sin ruled over God’s people. By contrast, under grace
means living under the new covenant in Christ, in an era characterized by

grace (cf. 3:24; 4:16; 5:2, 15–21).

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:15–23 The question posed in v. 1 is now explored
from another angle, that is, shall a Christian continue to sin because sin’s
power over him is broken (v. 11) and thus there is little danger in sinning?

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:15 Paul emphatically rejects the idea that freedom
from the old covenant era of being under law implies freedom to sin.

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:16 Moral decisions still matter for Christians. Giving
in to sin results in people increasingly becoming obedient slaves to sin.
(For a brief description of ancient slavery, see note on 1 Cor. 7:21.) This
kind of activity eventually leads to death, not implying that genuine
believers can actually lose their salvation but that sinning leads them in that
direction, away from full enjoyment of life with Christ (cf. note on Gal.
5:4). Those who give themselves utterly to sin will die (face eternal
punishment).

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:17–18 True Christians, however, will never live as
slaves to sin, for God has transformed their hearts at conversion, so that
they will now grow in their love of righteousness and in living according to

God’s Word.

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:19 Although Paul acknowledges that the illustration
from slavery is imperfect, it nonetheless stresses the importance of giving
oneself wholly to God rather than to sin.

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:20–21 When the readers were unbelievers, they were
totally captivated by sin, and the end result of such sin is death (physical
and spiritual death are probably both in view here). Sin always brings
destructive results in people’s lives.

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:22 Christians have a new status and a new destiny.

ROMANS—NOTE ON 6:23 Those who give themselves to sin will die both
physically and eternally, whereas Christians are assured of eternal life.
Wages implies that the punishment for sin is what one has earned and what
one deserves. Free gift is the opposite of something one deserves, which
fits Paul’s earlier emphasis on justification by grace alone (God’s unmerited
favor; see note on 4:16), through faith alone (trusting in Christ for
justification; see 1:17; 3:21–4:25).

ROMANS—NOTE ON 7:1–6 The Triumph of Grace over the Power of the
Law. The law does not and cannot bring victory over sin and death since sin
is defined and even promoted through the law. But those who have died
with Christ are set free from sin and the law.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Exactly? Duel Existence.
Body, mortally, walks, talks, makes daily decisions, what work to do, things to eat, places to go, things to buy, family and friends to gather with, etc.

Body, Forgiven, spiritually dead, washed, (Jesus’ Blood), spiritually alive, Sanctified (set apart), Justified (name in the Lambs book of life, to be risen up By the Lord), Sealed, (only Able to be claimed by the Lord God);
* Uses Christ Jesus’ Risen body to reside IN...(aka IN Christ. Aka Perfected IN Christ)....until the manifestation of his own body risen up in perfect holy union with the Lord God.

* All in waiting for Judgement .... and Sentencing Day. :)

Glory to God,

I'm interested in what you yourself have to say mostly.
The notes is as if I wrote it myself, makes perfect sense to me, as I have said this on another thread, since this Forum is packed with members believing in sinless perfectionism.

Unless, of course, you want to remind me of plagiarism again?

If you are not too busy, listen to the video clip.

I thought as much.

No, I didn't have that thought in mind . . .

Much love!
Thank you @marks, I have noticed that you are maturing at a rapid pace, while I am a bit "stunted" in my growth in Christ...too many voices and I need help from my fellow brothers and sisters, spiritually, and not falling behind, or out of this race.

God bless you and family.
