Hello all! I am a new member in Christian Forums, and so pleased to be a part of this online forum. I look forward to interacting with you all.
I am seeking advice after a one-year job search that has come to a crossroads with immediacy for the end of 2025. Also, please let me know if posting this personal summary is permittable for this forum, or this site in general.
I am trusting in the Lord's provisions, and I hope this avenue will prove successful.

"Hello, my name is Jasmine, and I am a candidate for your open paid, entry-level remote position at a Christ-centered, values-based company or organization offering 10 - 20 hours per week. I bring remote administrative assistant experience, experience working under the Department Director at one of Cleveland’s leading primary care service centers as well as a background in customer service and a skillset sharpened by volunteer and community efforts. With a Bachelors degree expected in Fall 2026 for Christian Thought in Humanities, I am confident that my educational background will be a boon to the educational makeup of your workforce.
I am certain that with my date entry and Microsoft 365 suite proficiency, empathetic and hard-work ethic and teachable and adaptable attitude, I can promote your mission-based organization to excel and prosper in its endeavors.

I would love to hear from you. Please contact me through direct messaging with questions, comments, or concerns.

God bless.

“Therefore I saw that there is nothing better than a man should rejoice in his works, for that is his portion; for who can bring him to see what will be after him?'
Ecclesiastes 3:22"

Thank you in advance.

"date entry" should be "data entry."

Also it may help to tailor your cover letter to the specific company you are applying to. Read their mission statement at least, and make sure you understand what it is they do as a genuine interest in their work shows.

Some good thoughts, @lforrest. Just re-adjusted it but it's your call. Welcome to CyB @jasminelearns :thumbsupx1

I am a motivated and detail-oriented candidate seeking a paid, entry-level remote position (10–20 hours per week) with a Christ-centered, values-based organization. I bring experience as a remote administrative assistant, along with professional experience supporting a Department Director at one of Cleveland’s leading primary care service centers. My background also includes customer service and skills developed through volunteer and community involvement.

I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Thought in Humanities, expected Fall 2026, and believe my academic foundation will contribute positively to the mission and culture of your organization. With strong data entry skills, proficiency in Microsoft 365, and an empathetic, diligent work ethic, I am highly teachable, adaptable, and committed to supporting organizational excellence and growth.

I welcome the opportunity to connect and would be glad to provide additional information upon request.

Make sure you have no "junk posts" on your Facebook or other social media.
That's where potential employers go first before checking your references.

awesome advice @Triumph1300. I have two FB pages. One is private, for close friends and family and locked. I use an alias on my private page so it cannot be traced. The other FB page is for other people I know, which is highly managed.

The vast majority of companies are getting so many applicants that they do not bother to read your CV or even to visit your online profiles and examine your past or whatever. They select just random few or even let an AI do that. Not to mention many job postings are not even real.

So, to tailor your CV to a specific company or to clean your social profiles are good advice, but a bit obsolete. It is currently hard to figure out how to find a job. Personal connections and recommendations if you know somebody in the company you want to get aboard seem to be the most efficient, now.

Building specific, rare, high demand skills is almost a must, if you need to find a job alone, without connections.
