You sound like a friend of mine. I call her bird lady. I have always had to trains my dogs to stay away from the chickens, so i never had time for much friendliness. I do thank them for their eggs! lfh

I have an LGD, 8 yrs old. He is Anatolian-Pyrenees. And we have a little girl, Missy, 2 yrs old. She is Blue Heeler/Dachshund mix. She doesn't bother the chickens either.

LOL .... I'm thinking I need to start a new thread!

I do like spaghetti squash! Zucchini is another big GMO crop. They are easy to grow though. The trouble is they don't store well.- over the winter and can't be frozen well, but spaghetti squash works!
I have tried a lot of grain free breads- all the cream cheese is a bit much for me. I made no grain pizza that was amazing once with cream cheese.. I'm ok with limited amount of homemade Eikhorn bread. It doesn't bother me ,and Jesus ate bread, so I think it's just what science did to our grains that causes the problems.
Thanks for the squash reminder. :gd God willing I'll grow zucchini next year for summer noodles.
I'd just grow them and feed leftovers to my chickens. lol

I have been known to grow things just for my chickens to forage ....sweet potato vines, zucchini, yellow squash. And if they get squash bugs, I just pull those leaves off and throw them into the chicken coops. I started off with one coop and literally just grew squashes and sweet potato vines all around the coop and the leaves would grow into the coop and climb up and the chickens had free pickings. :)

Thank you, @Hepzibah. This would be a good one to add to my stash!

I love books like this. One day soon, we may not have access to internet or even a library. So I have lots of books. I like books about bushcraft, survival, chickens, goats, and other livestock, old time natural remedies, herbal medicine, foraging, gardening. (Although I am carnivore, I know we will need ways to get nutrients in and also ways to grow forage for chickens, ducks, wildlife, goats, cattle, etc.)

I have some homeschool books.... all sorts of books along these lines.

I also have homebirthing/midwifery books. I had 4 home births. Three of them, my midwife didn't make it in time (but shortly after). I had short labors and deliveries for all my home births... 1hr to 3.5hrs. I have books for natural birthing and midwifery study books.
We are on the same page and I like those things too! But not the possibility of homesteading unfortunately else I would be doing that as well. I home educated two of my kids too. My interest in natural living came from my poisoning with mercury as an infant and the ill health from it, and I went organic whole food vegetarian in my early 30's after reading Adele Davis.

Since then I have tried many diets, the macrobiotic being excellent at one point of a toxin exposure when I nearly died and find that I do need to eat some carbs because of my thyroid.

My meat is pasture raised and grass FINISHED which makes a difference seeing as they do not stuff them with grain for slaughter.

Now, I am getting into homeopathy and really regret not doing so early since I understood it fully only recently. I have found a homeopath who was herself has cPTSD and will start working soon, now at age 75!

My last child, I wanted to be a natural birth but it went very wrong indeed and I was traumatised by the birth due to midwife neglect. I was talked out of a home delivery because of my age then (36). I think the child was traumatized as well. Actually, I was not in a good state for breeding with the effects of the mercury and trauma since then (FSA).

What I have done is to learn how to exist without any medical help, as I have MCS and MCAS, no meds for about 30 years, using my own ways of coping with things like infections and I am sure this will stand me in good stead for what is coming.

Good to talk.

By the way ragamuffin, how's the bod holding up in the heat?
The body?

Well, by faith, there will be complete recovery. I'm being careful to drink enough cold water, and rest a lot. But today, I did the animal chores and was careful to do it in spurts. So far, no major increase in head and neck pain (2 or 3 pain level). I am feeling stronger today/tonight. I even felt strong enough to cook a meal (doing that now) ... it's late, but hey, still progress. I ate pickles/pickle juice today and tuna. So far, no issues. We'll see. :)

Thank you.

No, I do not. Only for convenience, while I'm weak, I bough a 6oz container of tuna salad from my health food store. I cook an 8oz ribeye last night ...which is more along the lines of what I normally eat.

I am about to drink some water and go outside and enjoy the early morning, and listen to the birds ....and the crowing of a rooster, and the cockerels coming into maturity. lol My cats and kittens will be around my feet. I can get chores done early. :)

:yum:
I slept 6 hours straight last night. I felt pretty good, actually. I am still not up to par. But I took nattokinase, serrapeptase, and some zeolite and drank about 10 ozs of water. Then I went outside around 6:30am and it felt AMAZING! I got all the animal chores and even some garden chores done ...pacing myself, I was done around 8:15 am. Woohoo! Praise God!!!

I have already eaten ....ribeye. Lol
I drank some pickle juice with it and ate some garlic ....took my other supplements... Hawthorn, D3/K2, red vine leaf, cayenne, CoQ10, Curcumin, potassium, sodium bicarbonate (capsule), and benfotamine.

I take those bc heat stroke isn't the only thing I'm dealing with, and they help.

Anyway, there is no heart pounding, I'm breathing well , no nausea (thank You, Jesus!) ...overall feeling better today than yesterday. And yesterday was better than the day before! :D
