Show God Love Please!!!!

The word Love,Deep Affection,passion,desire- We have all said it before,"LOVE" but why when we say we LOVE God we don't show it? Why do we use the word so loosely? Why when we say we LOVE God we sit back when another person bashes God? Why whenever we say we LOVE God we go and continue sinning thinking he won't see? Why whenever we say we LOVE God we only ACT righteous at church? Okay,say you have a friend you love who is hurt by the words another kid said to him/her,what do you do,well since you love him/her you go and stick up for your friend. Yet whenever we see our God getting bashed or people saying hurtful things about him we are last to respond because of what others will think of us? But remember you said you LOVE God. Why did you stick up for your friend and not him? Do you think he won't know? See this is a problem,we stick up for a friend,yet not the God who shows love to us no matter what!!! So really by doing this are you basically telling God I LOVE you yet I am not willing to stick up for you but a friend?Secondly,We always have the desire to hang out with the ones we love,Say susie wanted you to come over for the day,you say "yeah sounds like fun!!!" yet when God ask you to pray to him for 5 minutes,or read the bible for a little bit,or go to church wednesday/sunday you no longer have the desire to hang with God. If you were to not hang with your friend just for 5 measly minutes,wouldn't they feel rejected or not loved? Think how the God you LOVE feels? Being rejected and being put below your friends,Yet he continues to love you! What does that say? We have the uncontrollable passion for this guy/girl and we want to spend every moment with them because we LOVE them,Yet God gets the short straw and gets put further behind,yet he still shows love for you! WHY? Because God loves us,he does not say it he puts us first,He forgives us of our sins when we know we will sin again,he offers us eternal life he. Yet whenever we say "ya I love God" we are not showing it!!! How would you feel if this happened to you?Love GOD LOVE GOD LOVE GOD,For he loves us,I am not talking about going to church wednesday/sunday then continuing your normal life, or lying and thinking God won't see. For if you love him you put him FIRST Your desire and passion to be with him becomes uncontrollable!!! Why do we strive for others love? When God has loved us from the beginning.HOW ABOUT SHOWING GOD SOME LOVE!!!!!!

You used the right word "show" when referring to love. Love is a choice but is very much like faith.Jam.2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Saying I love you or even thinking you love someone is not true love. Love is a spectrum if you will. One end of the spectrum might be your wife or children. The other end of the spectrum might be your pet dog. In between may be your neighbors, freinds, or human kind in general.Christ teaches us to love our enemies, meaning keep them on your spectrum of love. Tough love is applied throughout the spectrum of love from our children to the dog.
