Signposts of the Coming Apocalypse

Many people today react negatively to anyone who warns about a coming reset of civilization, even though it is obvious that things cannot continue as they are for much longer. They say it is foolish to worry about what may happen, or even talk about the trends and signs that point toward the end time scenario as portrayed in Scripture.

In Matthew 16:1-4, Jesus sternly rebuked the religious leaders of His day for their failure to discern the signs of His first coming. He was fulfilling the Old Testament prophecies and performing miracles, yet they were blind to it all. Likewise today, many religious leaders are doing the same, blinded to prophecy and to the signs that point to an imminent commencement of God’s program of preparation for the Second coming of Jesus.

God is preparing the world stage for His drama of the ages. When the curtain parts, when the heavens are torn asunder, Isaiah 64:1-2, then those who have failed to understand or even to consider the more than 100 prophesies that clearly tell about the forthcoming fire judgement/punishment, they will be shocked and terrified. .

A judgement by fire will happen next and it will be a testing time for all mankind. 1 Peter 4:12

Do not hope for a rapture from this first event. The prophesies that tell of a ‘meeting in the air’ refer to the visible Return of Jesus for His Millennial reign, which is to come much later

The greatest threat facing the world is a nuclear armed Iran attacking Israel, along with their proxies and all the Islamic peoples. Psalms 83

Bible prophecy, our sure guide with proven fulfilled predictions, tells us that this war will not happen. Ezekiel 7:14 God’s wrath destroyed the civilization of Noah’s time with a great flood; this time He will use fire to destroy His enemies. I watched a programme years ago. It stated that if there was a nuclear war amongst the main countries that then had nuclear weapons, it would result in a cloud forming over a third of the earth. The sun and moon would not shine on a third of the earth, there would be darkness over a third of the earth. Horrors would be seen unequalled since the creation of the world. What could cause this? We could refer to it as an abomination that causes desolation-nuclear weapons.

I said if nuclear war took place amongst the main countries that have nuclear weapons. That would not have to include Israel. Its nothing to do with ''Im alright jack'' its everything to do with scripture being fulfilled if such a tragic war took place

Can you explain to us why Christ said this to the Church?

If it was God's objective for us to major on 'the apocalypse' per se and in a chronological order that many exponents are so sure of, how is it that the NT reference which they elaborate on is so different?

The objective of the OT, apart from it being a history of the Hebrews, is to draw attention to the Messiah.....attention in a particular way. It was the Christ denying religious folk who studied hard and long (as if that gave them some right to inerrancy) who diverted its intent and put a spin on it which ultimately blinded the eyes and stopped the ears of the larger majority of the Nation. Could the same principle apply to the Christian world?

Christ didn't say He would keep you from trials and temptations, He plainly said He will do something because you have endured the temptations, the trying of your faith.

Notice that "the hour of temptation" is the time period of the temptation/trying that will come upon the whole earth.

Christ will keep those who hold their faith from this "hour" of temptation that will come upon all the world.

Ezekiel chapters 6-7 were prophecies against the land of Israel, not against the nations. The prophecies against the nations come later on, in later chapters in Ezekiel.

When all has taken place, those who have not understood all the prophecies and have deduced false interpretations of much of prophecy (such as yourself) are not going to be judged by the prophecies they failed to understand.

The sign of the times, however, is a different story, and there you are correct - but as for God's judgment, the treachery of the nations against Israel, regardless of whether or not all Jews at this stage believe in Jesus, is going to be the criteria by which all nations are judged in Israel, as the prophecies state, because the treachery and evil of the nations is great.

And we will all be judged by our faith in Christ or lack of it, and by whether or not we put evil for good and good for evil, darkness for light and light for darkness (lies for truth and truth for lies), bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

There is a great amount of evil being perpetrated against the Jews now which is accompanied by packs of lies against Israel and hatred of the Jews around the world, and the weak so-called "allies of Israel" are all setting the nation and its people up for slaughter through their demands for a "Palestinian" (terrorist) state that is populated by a majority of people who hate the Jews and want to annihilate them and their state, who hate Jews with ancient religious hatred, supported by many others (including some of Christendom) who likewise harbor an ancient religious hatred of the Jews.

As far as OUR judgment and the judgment of the nations goes, It really does not matter whether Jews who do not believe in Jesus are part of God's Israel or not, or whether the state called Israel came about as a result of the providence of God, or not. What matters from now on is our faith in Christ or lack of it, and whether or not we put evil for good and good for evil, darkness for light and light for darkness (lies for truth and truth for lies), bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Because the nations are full of evil and treachery, and the treachery and evil of all nations is finding its nest in modern-day Israel.

Jesus Christ is Lord. We should be calling upon Him and praying for the salvation of all people, and especially at this time pray for the Jews and for Israelis - because THEY - not the nations - are the ones being bullied. Hated without cause. Yes - without cause.

These threads based on personal interpretations of prophecy are meaningless and not helpful, IMO.
