And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. - Genesis 6:5.

A world without law. No restrictions on that nature. God would take all of those he created - save eight people - to preserve his creation!

A world without law - but sin had entered that world by one. There was no law, but the law of sin and death!

Was the law sin, no it exposed sin and now would keep that sin from ruling humanity completely. A mind that gives into that nature, is a mind that is reprobate! Any law is better than no law.

We are under a law as well - the law of the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. - Romans 8:2.

When it comes to the law there is a lot to unpack with that as there is much debate on where to draw the line on abiding by the law not sinning and yet resting in his grace it seems to be quite a conflicting issue with many believers and many are either on the side of law or grace.

From my perspective it quite simple really yes we do rest in his grace we are covered in his blood and are carried by his grace in our failings and weakness, but the law is not abandoned either for even david himself praised God for his law and had written it on his heart and even boasted of the blessings following his law brought him. We follow the law perhaps nopt perfectly but we do so not because it is commanded of us or because it is the law but for those whose hearts the law is written on and who fully understand grace and the law we do so out of love and devotion to him not obligation or decree and when we fail to uphold it or we striggle in certain areas his grace is sufficient

The heart of the law is to draw us near God under the new covenant with Christ before it only exposed our sin and we followed it out of duty and to not be sinful but Christ took off those shackles allowing us the freedom to do so out of love and devotion and finding the blessings that following the law can bring instead of the curses and instead of it merely exposing our weakness.

The law is fulfilled in Christ.

And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect. - Galatians 3:17.

Thank you good word.
The law cannot disannul what worked in man. The works of sin in man. That had to be removed. Bring an end to sin in man. The cross brought an end to sin for all that would believe, John 3:8-9. Because sin was destoyed at the cross. No law could do that, only a death, the death of Jesus Christ. He destoyed the works of the devil that was in man - the believer. Where is that freedom? The cross, in Christ. The destruction of the old man at Calvary. The new man is; Christ in you the hope of glory! The new creation.

Yes you know the truth but there are those who would argue otherwise. there is a certain simplicity to the cross and we just tend to complicate things, the law is fulfilled in Christ Faith God and our entire relationship with him is about love and intimacy and we are seen as pure small children in his eyes eyes covered in his sons blood adopted into the kingdom made righteous by him it is as simple as that.

Hi @Cross8527 Paul to the Romans speaks of 'obedience to the faith' and 'the obedience of faith'.
