The difference between judicial forgiveness and Father forgiveness is:
- Judicial forgiveness is something that was required to fully satisfy the sin against God - Adam disobeyed God in the beginning and that sin had to be forgiven to satisfy the Holiness of God. Another peculiar thing about that sin was where it came from. Father forgiveness comes from the knowledge you have already been judicially forgiven and belong to God. You are not Your own now you belong to another. When John the Baptist saw Jesus coming he swung around and said 'behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.' What was that sin? It was Adam's sin that carried in a nature (a sinning nature) with it and that nature had to be destroyed to get the judicial forgiveness of God the father. Jesus Christ the Son of the living God destroyed the sin nature on the cross. killed out as much as he was - when he died that sinning nature died and all in the nature (all in Adam crucified with Christ) dead as Jesus Christ was when he died.
- Father forgiveness is and comes after you are born again. Our father knows you - better than you know yourself.
When believers sin and say God I'll never do that again! What do you think he does? First he doesn't have to wait and see if I'll stay true to my word he already knows and has/had forgiveness already in place by Christ complete work on Calvary. Oh the blood of Jesus, it will be the blood of Jesus Christ that cleanses you all the days of your life. He will never depend on the blood of a bull or calf to cover sin but the blood of Jesus Christ which destroyed sin all together.
Believers are born through that blood, it is that blood that has taken an old man and killed it in spirit and have a new man in spirit to be put on and wore as a new garment.
Of coarse we don't believe it, ask most believers and they are still trying to appease the sin problem they have. The harder they try the worse it gets because that is the nature act of the flesh when under law to make an act to please. Have you ever seen those that punishment themselves for sinning. They cannot stop so they feel the need to punish themselves so they feel a since of relief from sinning and it may help with God.
Religions big push is; they will help you do that. They set up programs - you have plenty of opportunities to give - private confessions - any number of books - conferences that teach how to sin less - on and on it never stops - and it's motive is always the old mighty dollar. You can be separated from a buck in a minute if you need to be forgiven. One lady told me she went through a divorce and had to pay to get divorced and pay to get remarried - very unusual bunch religion is to say the least.
