In a particular era of the Egyptian hieroglyphs you might find Anubis the jackal headed beast. What Israel of old would consider a dog, as that relates to not a child in the biblical narrative. Children of God are not dogs. Jesus spoke of not giving that which was for the children of Israel to the dogs. But cast out foul spirits from such as spoken of in the new testament.
