3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. - John 3:3.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. - John 3:3-5
The soul of man is made up of the mind, will, emotions, and intellect. The believer is born again in their spirit. You start there in scripture when dividing soul and spirit. Unless a man/woman be born of the water and Spirit he can not see the kingdom of God. How is it you could separate soul and spirit, and there still be proper existence? You make the proper distinction between soul and spirit by the word of God. The water is the word, and the Spirit is "the Spirit of Christ."
You understand at a point in scripture you must make the proper distinction between soul and spirit. Let's talk a minute about the seriousness of making proper distinction. A believer will only go so far in God as far as growing up untill soul and spirit can be properly divided. So what is happening when someone is not dividing soul and spirit is; growth is slowed down. They are not righly dividing soul and spirit, or not dividing soul and spirit at all and when they could further the gospel it is possible they can hinder it. You will not move like they should, you can't, it becomes stagnant at some point to where a believer is not growing. Nothing worse than witnessing a believer that has been in the Lord for 20 years or whatever and when they should be helping other believers and they can't help themselves. It grieves you in spirit. You since it, you know it by the spirit because we know each other by the spirit.
Have you ever been around someone who is what seems like oozing love, or should say fruit of the Spirit. What a joyful pleasure to be around. It is a gift to be around someone who has been in the Lord for some years and they act like it, they are seasoned so to say in spiritual matters. It is like being around a mature grandparent who just seems to know life because they have been there. That is how growth and maturing saints compel others in the Lord. Don't let schisms and other things divide you from each other. My doctrine I hold so dear has to be left alone to bring together the saints.
The scriptures have a lot to say about that subject, but my hot head will bring divisions opposite of what scripture is asking believers to do. Be kind to one another, pick your battle's wisely. It will not hurt me to be the person I know I am. Work out your salvation with "fear and trembling" scripture says! Bless you.
