Are you the type that needs to distinguish herself/himself with conflict? Find yourself guilty of being the only person who agrees with your slant of the gospel? Determine your worth before God dependent on how many people disagree with your truth? Sacrifice love for being "right"......

I admit I have been guilty of playing the "devil's advocate" and being proud of pantsing every religious narcissist I could find.....then God convicted me of my own pride. It is now my opinion that we need to unite as Christians in order to spread the gospel to the truly needy - Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world, followed by Mormonism....

People need to hear about Christ today....more than ever....instead of in fighting

Let's drop our pride and agree to love our neighbors in a way that witnesses Christ

I agree 100%. Being new here I started to read through some of the posts and was rather disappointed in some of the bashing I was seeing. It's not ours to judge others but to spread the word of God. We really do have much more in common with each other than we have differences and time is of the essence to many unbelievers. The time spent arguing your point of view is better spent building bridges to the unsaved.

Glad others are awakening to this. See the problem is that we waste a lot of time when worrying about what the other person believes. Some spend so much time on it, that we end up with entire websites, "ministries" and worse devoted to tearing others down. What these folks don't understand is that Jesus doesn't need self-declared defenders of the faith, he needs servants serving to make disciples. When is the last time you ever had an argument with someone, and they came to you and called you some name to justify there side, and you simply dropped it and said you're right? Why do we think this line of reasoning will work every time for Christianity?

If you teach the milk and then the meat, the rest will follow.

Matthew 28:19-20
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

I promise you all, if you teach the Word - the Gospel - then the rest will absolutely follow. We don't purify and transform - God does the work. God does the watering. We are called to plant seeds and let God do His work. I think we neglect that grand commission when we spend our time trying solely to correct others and tear down.
