Flesh mind always thinking things in flesh.
Buy or sell
Buy the truth
Sell the truth.
Not some things that about flesh of money.

Its good, but close. Many people do not understand what the buying and selling in Revelation 13 is really all about. They came up with wild imagination that it has to do with buying food at 7-11 store, buying a house, or has to do with literal world wealth. This is not what God talked about. We need to go to Scripture to understand first. For example:

Revelation 3:17-19
  • "Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
  • I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
  • As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent."
Christ was warning the messengers (people, not angels) of the church in "symbolic" terms to be a faithful "merchant" of spiritual things, and "buy of Him" Gold tried in the fire, Gold that would not corrupt, Gold that thieves would not seek to break through and steal, Gold that would be more precious than any literal merchant could ever obtain. He is told to be the merchant of these precious "spiritual" things, and he is rebuked and chastened for not doing this. This messenger of Laodoicea thought that he was rich and had need of nothing because of his literal wealth, but God is declaring that he was SPIRITUALLY poor and blind and naked. For the Merchant that Christ had in view was the spiritual merchant of the church. We are the spiritual merchant of God, representing the Kingdom of God. The one who was seeking to buy and sell precious things far more valuable than literal gold.

Matthew 13:45-46
  • "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:
  • Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it."
The Kingdom of heaven is likened unto a merchant man IN THE CHURCH. This is the symbolism of God's church going forth. At this time depicted in Revelation 13, no one will be able to be these merchants in the church except the buyers and sellers. Those who will not worship the 'image' of the beast, we read these are all killed. These are those who will not be deceived of false prophesy and who will not receive the mark of Satan's name to buy and sell in the Lord's house. So it's important that we understand that the symbolism here is that no one can buy and sell "except" those who receive the mark of the beast.

The beast symbolizes Satan's fasle prophets and ministers coming to deceive the people of the church. Those who have NOT YET sealed by God, Revelation 9:4. The point is the mark of the beast is a spiritual token that PROFESSED CHRISTIANS who receives it has "fallen away" form God or been brought under the reign of Satan's kingdom... WITHIN CHURCH! So exactly what will they buy and sell now that they have the mark?

Remember this has NOTHING to do with buying or selling carnal things such as food, house, car, investment, money, bitcoin, stock market, or even AI with all the silly theories out there. The false prophets and teachers don't work in the department stores and super markets and have power to restrict people from buying foods or goods unless they are literally marked in the head and right hand? Come on!!! No! Of course not, fasle prophets work in CHURCHES, and that is WHERE their buying and selling is done! The Lord is talking about fasle prophets make EVIL MERCHANDISE of the Gospel here. They sell the things of God, as Esau sold his birthright for a crumb of bread. And doing so, he was cut off from God and brought into servitude of Satan. Consider wisely what God said:

Romans 9:11-13
  • "(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
  • It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
  • As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated."
Many sons in the church of our day are selling their birthright for less that Esau did! They are those in "works gospels," which fundamentally DENY that we are already "bought" with a price of Christ. Other false gospels deny the authority of Scripture, either verbally or by deeds. Still o ther false gospels see signs and wonders adding to the revelation of God, and hold to these in place of Biblical truth.

But every false prophet sells you a lie in place of the gospel truth. And it is spiritually as if they are stealing from God. Because they use God's name in selling you goods which are of no real value. And it is God who equates those false prophets to buyers and sellers, thieves and robbers who are stealing from Him. This was "clearly illustrated" in the first advent of Christ. Remember when He came to Jerusalem, He threw the "Buyers and Sellers" out of the Holy Temple of God. This pointed to the fulfillment of the Old Testament Scripture prophesying of false prophets in the Lord's house. i.e., God, not I, has equated the Buyers and Sellers of the Temple, to the false prophets who were prophesied to come and serve other gods in Israel. Consider Matthew and Jeremiah carefully:

Matthew 21:12-13
  • "And Jesus went into the Temple of God, and cast out all them that Sold and Bought in the Temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of them that SOLD DOVES,
  • And said unto them, it is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves."
I hope you know what the doves represent. These buyers and sellers in the Temple fulfilled the prophecy of Jeremiah that false prophets would come and serve false gods in the House of the Lord, making it an abomination. And when Christ says "it is written," He is exhorting the faithful to search the Scriptures and discern the truth from "where" it is written.

Jeremiah 7:8-11
  • "behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.
  • will ye steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely and burn incense unto Baal, and walk after other gods whom ye know not;
  • And come and stand before Me in this house, which is called by My name, and say, we are delivered to do all these abominations?
  • is THIS HOUSE, which is called by My name, become a Den of Robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the Lord."
This is the passage that the Lord Jesus referenced illustrating that it was fulfilled as He threw the Buyers and Sellers out of the Lord's house. It's a word picture or 'type' of them being cut off from their God. To be thrown out of The Temple is a "sign" of this cutting off of Israel. These Buyers and Sellers were tokens of the false prophets of the Lord's house that Jeremiah spoke of. They had made the Lords House a house of lies and false gods. Moreover, indeed the Jews came and asked Jesus for a "sign" that would show them that He had authority to throw these buyers and sellers out of the temple. And Christ responded illustrating that the "sign" fulfillment, was that they would crucify Him.

John 2:18-19
  • "Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?
  • Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."
They asked for a sign of His authority to cast the buyers and sellers out, and Christ told them what the sign would be. They would be cut off as Christ was cut off in His death for the sins of the people. The point here is, the Buyers and Sellers signified those of the Temple that were to be cut off. They would destroy Christ the Temple, and that would be the 'sign' of His authority to cast them out.

Thus in Revelation chapter 13, these Buyers and Sellers are symbolic of the very same people who would be cut off from their God because they make His house abominable. Therein lies the significance of them being marked of Satan and numbered with his name. It now fits perfectly how only "they" could be those who buy and sell as thieves and robbers, while the faithful in the House of God cannot. It has nothing whatsoever to do with world economics, it has to do with carnality and spirituality of the Devil being taught IN THE CHURCH. Do you see this taking place in many churches today, humm??!! Those who are deceived by false prophets to serve other gods in the House of the Lord, make evil merchandise of the church. And they are not thieves and robbers as Webster's dictionary defines it, and not Buyers and Sellers as Webster's dictionary defines it, but as God defines it and as only those with wisdom and understanding (a gift from God) have eyes to see and ears to hear the truth. Thieves are an illustration of those who come into the congregation with false teachings.

The marked people are not buying or selling any truth. It's economic which fits the context of Rev 13 where a beast kingdom ruled by a beast controls the world, which would include the financial economy.

False interpretation!

You are completely missing the spiritual context of Revelation 13. The “buying and selling” has nothing to do with the world’s financial economy, world governments, etc. Revelation is not describing Wall Street, digital currency, or artificial intelligence — it’s unveiling what happens within God’s house among those who profess His name.

The “mark” is spiritual, not physical. It identifies those who have aligned themselves with the system of counterfeit truth — a system operating inside the visible church, not the secular world. That’s why judgment begins at the house of God (1 Peter 4:17). This is where church, which is God's great city which has spiritually become Egypt and Sodom. Not New York, Rome, or even Jerusalem.

Those “buying and selling” are exchanging false doctrines, the false merchandise of Gospel pushed by false prophets and false christs. This is the same spiritual corruption that caused the Lord to call His people Egypt (bondage) and Sodom (perversion) — not literal nations, but spiritual conditions within an unfaithful church.

Yes, the beast rules the unsaved world, but his final and most dangerous work is inside the church — through deception, not money. Those who are not yet sealed (saved) after God has finished sealed all of His people, will accept the mark by embracing a corrupted gospel and joining in the trade of spiritual lies. This is how they believe a lie which is a judgment upon this unfaithful church.

So no — Revelation 13 is not warning about a financial system or a physical mark to buy food. It’s warning about a spiritual economy of deception in the last days, where truth is replaced with counterfeit doctrine. The mark of the beast is not on the hand or forehead in a literal sense, but on the mind (agreement) or worship their will of those who reject the truth of Christ for the lies of men. Becasue of these, they are marked to show that they are owned by Satan. God have already sealed His own so the rest of the congregation will end up being deceived thinking they are served God and are saved by the false doctrines coming out of the lying mouths of the false prophets and christs.

The figurative sense of "buying & selling" is incompatible with the "mark of the Beast" passages. It over-spiritualizes them to the point of making them meaningless. And deprives them of their warning intent.

"Buying & selling" the Truth are Christian concerns, not those of the worldly Therians.*

*"Therians" means "followers of the Beast."

I would ask, what is the pearl of great price which is to be sort after? Could it be new wine which only new wine skins can contain.....and what are new wine skins?
