"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness," - 2 Tim 3:16

-- While I do not agree that a person can spend "too much time" studying God's Word, if it is not bonded with prayer and seeking of wisdom via the Holy Spirit, the effort is wasted.

What I have seen on this board is people picking a position and then using scripture completely out of context and partial scripture verses that negate the actual intended message.

When given actual in-context scripture which negates (or the the very least shows just the opposite of what they are trying to say) they then post scriptures about preaching false teachings, misuse of God's message, etc. -- scriptures that actually apply more to them than the people who are providing correction to them.

Yes, I have used scripture on this board, but I challenge anyone to find anywhere in any of my posts where it has been used in an incorrect or out-of-context way.

And yes, people here have provided scripture to correct me on certain positions and helped me to open my eyes.

Also look at my Troy/Exodus like threads, I really tore em up at UM, I may have even changed a few skeptic's mind on what Adamic history really is ...
