I have a feel for the death of believers with Christ on the cross not being taught or preached maybe like it should be. Of coarse that is just my opinion but I say that based on the death of Jesus being the death of all believers as the starting place of all Christianity.

I talk alot about believers having free reign over their minds and understanding. We are not robots, we have a choice to make up our own minds. Now we can make decisions that may not be the best sometimes, I speak for myself, but the point is we have alot to do with our very own understanding. If we didn't need to know anything in life then there would be no need for teaching/preaching, or over all education in general. Point being; there are things in this life we need to know if we are going to be productive citizens.

With that said there is a rule in learning as I have mentioned that "you have to start right to end right."

Your death with Christ on the cross is necessary to starting right when doing your study. When you search the scriptures for whatever reason and for whatever you are looking for, you have to start with the cross, or you see yourself on that tree with Christ. That was you and I on that tree, all in Adam were in Christ when he went to the cross, and with Christ death now all in Adam are dead. It really is kind of simple but it is the place you start and finish right.

I need to say a couple of things here; first our message (born again believers) doesn't start when you believed, it doesn't start at the cross (the cross finished the plan of God), it does not start with a newly created being (Adam) falling. Our message starts before anything was created, before creation. When the plan and purpose for all things was coming into fruition in the mind of our father.

How do we know creator God almighty had in him Fatherly attributes with a plan to birth his own children? Ephesians 1:4. If he is still just an angry Old Testament God to you you have not seen your father. Not in his Fatherly way of handling his children now. We still address him like an Old Testament prophet or something and we are going to get this world business sorted out. Well time will prove that false because that is not how he handles his children that he has birthed. He had none in the Old Testament he could be father to because they were not birthed, they were created beings with no Christ in you.

He is a good father, he birthed you (if you're a believer) and you are his! Nothing else can be said on that. You just are, whether you like it or not that is the situation you are in. A birthed child by Christ in you. What does the cross allow? It allows Christ in you, or it allows the father to complete his plan of birthing you by birthing his son in you. The two become one, but the point is; a birthing has taken place and you will be who you are by that birthing and nothing you can do or ever will do can add or take away from that.

The birthing is a completed act just as your natural birth was a completed act. So now you can see how life can only come through death, it is imperative the believer "reckon themselves as dead as Christ was when he died." You see yourself as a dead Adam in Christ, and a new Adam (the twain have become one by a birthing) in Christ now. It will always be him that is the life, believers have no life of their own. Bless you.

@soul man

1 Corinthians 15 and the Resurrection - and the victory that ensues for the believer alive in Him - is also a great passage related to the themes you raise.

Death in Christ, primarily means death to sin, but also corruption and even death. Once raised, we will be impeccable and imperishable. Yes, if Christians could truly reflect on this matter more diligently and wisely, we would, while on this earth, be more pleasing to God, and be a better testimony to our faith, ...not to mention, just a better person all around - at peace and a stronger character.
