Capitalism has failed society. That's right... Failed...
It will be difficult for the older generations to see this because they had it good, they lived in the peak of the west and got the spoils. But I ask you guys to look at it from a 20 year olds perspective and for the future of humanity because its they who have to build a future, not us anymore.

In 50s, 60s and 70s. One mans wage was enough to provide for his wife and kids, it was enough to buy him a home, a couple of cars, go on annual vacations, retire early and live a healthy and happy life.

For a wife she had the option of working or staying home to raise the kids. Most mothers would choose to stay home with the kids but women started to get coned. They started to to be told that fulfillment in life was not with the family but at work. Women didn't start feminism, the elite did, with the objective of forcing them into the workforce

And so they perpetuated this lie to women... Be independent, you don't need a man, you don't need to be oppressed at home, be free to achieve your dreams, don't let anyone hold u back from work, women can do what men do, and this kind of nonsense. And so by the 90s women were indoctrinated to work as well. So now she cannot choose to run the family, she is forced to work...

So within 30 years the workforce almost doubled. This had a huge impact on life. The price of living went up and up the peoples wages remained static. So now the median wage of one person isn't enough to buy a home, it requires a couple to both work all their lives.

Here are some graphs illustrating the difference between the median wage to median house prices...

20 years ago, here in Melbourne, the median price for a house was under $200,000 now it's over $800,000 but the wages have not moved at all.

You hear about the "American dream". The yanks coined the phrase but its really a humans dream isn't it... These kids have such a slim chance of it...

U know, capitalism works, its built this world before us. But its been said that it will crumble if the rich get too greedy... That my friends, is exactly whats happened. Greed. A company sets next years target to make more profit than the year before and more and more and more every year is their primary goal. It was never sustainable. Then there are the banks but i won't get into that...

So for a person in his 20s i can understand wanting change. But change to what??? Not socialism/communism... Its a proven failure.
The problem is that they've been indoctrinated into wanting to change to a socialist society. They don't seem to have been taught of the horrors in the USSR and Maos China. They have Cuba and Venezuela as their modern day examples and still press on blindly...

- So i do think this capitalist economic system needs to change
- But i don't know to what or how to change...
- Im certain that socialism will ruin the west

I explained this to my mother once and asked her if she would of preferred to have been with us growing up or at work. I now regret asking her because she broke down in tears... Awww:(... I wasn't trying to blame her for anything i said. I was angry at the system for taking my mum from me to work in a stupid factory when she should of been with us... And for what? For who? A mother ought to be with her child and pulling her away to work is just criminal in my opinion...:(

Capitalism has not failed. When women started working, it was to supplement the average income. It provided "extras."

In America, the average family owns more than one television. In the late 1950's and early 1960's, not every household had a television. We did not have to pay for a service to watch the three stations we could see.

When I grew up, and when I first go married, we had one car. We shared it. Now, most every person of driving age in a household has their own private car.

Growing up in the 60's, we rarely ever went out to eat. We ate meat, but it was in very small portions. Vegetables outnumbered meats. I rarely ever had a Pepsi or a Coca-Cola... they cost too much! I was 11 before I ever had a whole soda to myself that I did not have to split with my sister. If there was a choice, we had to decide together what we would drink, or we would get none at all.

Most Americans today have a home with air-conditioning, which was new to me in 1967. That was a luxury for most until the 1980's where it was rare to know someone without it.

We had a telephone, and a long distance call to family was limited to about twice a year. Now, we have pocket computers (costing more than $30.00 or less for a phone in my youth). Most people spend more for a phone today than we spent in a year!

We did not have lavish vacations. We hauled the tent and fishing poles to a campground. Now most kids are considered "abused" if they do not get to go to Disneyland every year. Parents take exotic vacations and cruises to the Bahama's and other places.

If we lived by the lifestyle and standards that I grew up with, there would be no need to have husband and wife working "to make ends meet." It is a choice, not the misconception that "Capitalism Failed."

Supply and demand has cause housing and vehicle costs to rise. If people will buy expensive cars and the like, suppliers will build what people will buy. Try to find a new car without power windows and air-conditioning. "Basic" is quite advanced. It is not the fault of Capitalism, but GREED where easy loans to try to live a lavish lifestyle that they cannot afford.

You need to distinguish between *capitalism* and "the free enterprise system*. Capitalism uses large amounts of capital to manipulate and corrupt the system. Capitalists have generally undermined small business owners, and tried to set up monopolies.

On the other hand *the free enterprise system* -- if allowed to function freely -- encourages investment, initiative, and hard work. Provided that governments do not destroy it with high taxes, red tape, and bureaucratic nonsense.

But it is not the economic systems which needs to be addressed first. It is the political systems of the Western world, which have all been corrupted by self-serving politicians and bureaucrats. And since they will not reform themselves, there is very little hope for change.

Socialism/Marxism/Communism/Fascism are all the same. They are all designed to ROB the ordinary citizens of (1) their freedoms and (2) their livelihoods, and impose totalitarianism on their citizens. The State wants to own everything, but in fact it is a handful of Communist bosses who end up owning everything. And if the head honcho is ruthless, then he ends up owning everything.

The problem is that Western politicians all adopted Liberalism/Progressivism as their religion, and that is just one step away from Communism. That is because politicians simply want power, influence, and wealth for themselves, and they do not give a hoot about the ordinary citizen.

As a result, things will go from bad to worse until the Antichrist takes control for 3 1/2 years. After that Christ Himself will totally destroy all the systems of the world, and establish the Kingdom of God with universal peace and righteousness on earth. In the meantime Christians have just ONE MANDATE. To see that the Gospel is preached to every creature, and souls are saved in order to enter into the Kingdom of God.

By failed im saying its reached a point where it is unsustainable. Im not stating what has happened before. Im giving my future prediction.
You know what im saying... Can it go on like this... Our pasts are next to irrelevant... Its the future im talking about...
Like i said it will be hard for u guys to understand what im saying. Its the future im talkng about not the past...

Your talking about extras... All the things u mentioned are material stuff, TV, coke, air-con.
For technological advancements capitalism is king. No doubt. In fact i could argue that its just created more costs, more bills.

Im talking about essentials here, shelter. The great American dream, right... U need a home before u can go blowing your money on extras

Lets pretend we're 24 years old. Erase everything before 2000 cos they don't know any of that, nor do they care about the past these days anyway... Now...
The median wage in Australia is under 40k after tax. The median price for a house is over 800k

Lets do some mathematics. With an 800k mortgage earning 40k a year... U must make heaps of sacrifices to be able to pay off 20k per year.
At that rate the house will take 40 years to pay off... 40 years... That is not possible.

Twenty years ago with a 200k mortgage with 20k annual payments... Thats gone in only 10 years.
Unsustainable standard of living for the Average Joe. Has to pay rent his whole life. And retirement... Ouch

Your 24 years old... Capitalism has failed you... It hasn't given your generation a chance for the great American dream...
For the boomers ye sure fantastic, yas got the best of it, the final greatest years of the golden age... Not so for these guys but

Throw in some social factors like the destruction of Christians morals and u get 50% divorce rates. So half the kids growing up with single moms.
How are they going to afford a house. Those children grow up to be more likely to screw up. They won't be able to get a house...
In the end the rich own multiple properties and every average person rent and struggles to make ends meet...

So for 10% rich capitalism is great, they own it all... Its already happening now... The rest are on the grind paying rent
If the objective of capitalism is to make it impossible for the average person to ever rest then its successful
But if its objective is to sustain a comfortable standard of living for the average person, then it has failed

Ye i was kinda focusing more on the average Joe blow and his chances...

Your getting more specific but yes. You could say a free enterprise system can become politically corrupted into capitalism.
This in turn creates the economic situation i outlined.

But seeing u mentioned the anti-christ i have to ask... Where do u think we are in the book of Revelation?

The first five seals were opened in the first century. The 6th and 7th seals are in the future -- possibly not too far distance. So the rise of the Antichrist is not too far off.
