My experience when I have received an impression from the Lord, is that it may be for a real-world event that I am going to embark upon, or it is about a spiritual unfolding where the engaged fellow workers in God's work will let you down in one small area. How this spiritual aspect of this "dream" will unfold will be a slow process which requires input from other trusted workers in this field. It will be messy for a time but when the right team is brought together things will begin to flow so that great blessings can be delivered through this "work."

PS: - Doing due diligence on the workers engaged in the work may be of upmost importance for your peace of mind, however, God may also be using this experience as a teaching experience so that you will learn to hasten slowly in God's timing.
