2 Peter 3:9 (NASB20)
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.

-But for all to come to the turning-

For that is what repentance is, a turning… A turning from something to something…. In Christianity it is a turning from self to God… Which is a deeper turning then turning away from sin, it is a turning away from the very thing that causes one to sin, and that is one’s very self… For oneself is the sinner, if it wasn’t for oneself and one’s desire towards the elevating of itself, one would be free from all things that cause for stumbling… For all stumbling comes from a desire of own will to elevate itself above that which is right… For righteousness and own will are for the measuring of one against the other…

For righteousness is the benchmark that all is to be measured against… If it doesn’t reach the benchmark of righteousness a deeper turning is required… But blessed is the one that is willing to walk in this deeper turning, for in this deeper turning will God be found, or, maybe better said, that a deeper degree of God will be found… For as those that are His He is known, but a deeper degree of Him can always be known… Oh the blessedness of a life that sees into this truth of a constant turning into a deeper-ness of God… A deeper turning into God from a deeper turning away from self… Which by default will be a deeper turning away from all sin and unrighteousness… Which by the blessedness of this turning will be an experiencing into a deeper-ness of God….

Which proof will be an increase of peace, joy and righteousness in the life, for peace and joy, and the doing of the right thing, which doing abides, only comes from one place, and that is by turning from self to God…

Be blessed all in the continual turning of the self to God…
