I'm starting this thread
because I have many questions
concerning the Bible and the validity
of the people who believe in it as their
source of truth. And I thought to myself
what better place to put forth my
questions, to you fine folks.

Question 1

In the book of Genesis
the third chapter the 20th verse
Adam called his wife's name Eve
because she was the mother
of all living.

How can she be the mother
of all living, when she is not the
mother of Adam?

Is this a miss translation
or a misprint or a misinterpretation
or an error that the author overlooked?

Thank you for the question, and welcome to the forum.

How could she become,
the mother of all living when
she was not the mother of Adam?

Question 2

Ezekiel 14:9
And if the prophet be deceived
when he hath spoken a thing,
I the LORD have deceived that prophet,
and I will stretch out my hand upon him,
and I will destroy him from the midst
of my people Israel.

Did God really deceive them
and then destroy them?
Or is this a mis-translation
or a misprint or a mis-interpretation
or an error that somehow
found its way into the
writings of Ezekiel?

Question 3

2 John 1:9
Whosoever transgresseth,
and abideth not in the doctrine
of Christ, hath not God.
He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ,
He hath both the Father and the Son.

What is the doctrine of Christ?

Question 4

1st John 1:8
If we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves and
the truth is not in us.

If we say we are born again of God
and continue to commit sin,
we deceive ourselves and the
truth is not in us.

True or false?

Question 5

John chapter 1 verse 1 and 2
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning
with God.

How was the Word with God,
and at the same time, was God?
What was the same, in the
beginning with God?

Eve was created after Adam was Created, so when we read she is the "mother"..... then this is exempting anyone who existed before Eve was created.

Also, Eve is a mother by BIRTHTING........and Adam was not Birthed, by a mother.... he was CREATED fully completed as a full grown male, by God.

Semantics. Eve's name means "life" or "living" because she is the mother of all humanity. It has nothing to do with Adam.

Question 6

2 John 1:9
Whosoever transgresseth,
and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ,
hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

This is the reason you
are always dealing with
or going through some
kind of evil, in your life.
God is not with you,
because you are in transgression
and not abiding in
the doctrine of Christ.

True or false?

The answer is: Adam didn't have a mother, but was created.

God is just assuring that there is no possibility of someone first being called by Him, that will prosper. In other words, God, not men, are in control of what comes from God, and even what does not.

Question 4

1st John 1:8
If we say that we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves and
the truth is not in us.

If we say we are born again of God
and continue to commit sin,
we deceive ourselves and the
truth is not in us.

True or false?
False.

This is question and answer not meant for babes in Christ, but for the mature. But the answer is:

Time and the timeline of this would-be history is and illusion created to reveal an immense about of Godly truth "precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little there a little" in bitesize pieces. To the contrary, within the actual reality of God (not of this world) everything simply is. What that means in terms of salvation, is that those who are dead in sin, are dead and in sin, and yet after they are born again of the everlasting, eternal spirit of God--they "is" free from sin forevermore. That timeless reality, is where the term "I am" comes from.
The confusion comes from those who do not understand exactly what is going on in this unique time in history where one doesn't have to die before entering eternity, but can pass from death (time) to life (eternity) while still remaining in this world until natural death occurs. The apostle referred to this as "we who are alive and remain" (alive in God, but remaining in the flesh and in the world). Which God has done for the purpose of evangelizing (giving witness of the truth of Christ) to all the gentile nations and peoples.
So, the illusion of time remains a part of the life of those "alive and remaining" after being born of the spirit of God--which some world-minded folks simply can't fathom.
