Maybe they just got fed up of all the contentions...
How in the world does one get banned from THIS forum? The Mods here are really tolerant.

Yes, it's happened to me too! One in particular, I left on a Friday, returned on Monday, and Johann was gone. Not just gone, but his profile removed. I was unable to search his posts for some clue of what happened. He and I really meshed together. He was good for me, and I still miss him!Do you ever get to know some members and then suddenly they disappear? This has happened to me several times now.
The last one to disappear is @pandaflower She was active daily, especially in the Happy Threads. Also in Current Events.
That had to be by his own request. I didn't know him but the people that did all say they miss him. That's not a get banned for life kind of guy, especially on a laid back forum like this.Yes, it's happened to me too! One in particular, I left on a Friday, returned on Monday, and Johann was gone. Much love!
Thats who I was talking about, when I checked his name I wanted mine to appear the same way when I left, but it didn't my name shows up as if I was and am still a member under that user name (although I cannot sign in). So theres some confusion as to what exactly someone can ask for to get off a forum in a specific way.Yes, it's happened to me too! I haven't been in contact with him. What forum is that?I did catch up with Johann on another forum under my old user name Verily , but it wasnt too active and the forum just wasnt for me (so I asked to delete there also) I have to take another look how that shows up. I can share that link with you if you want to see him again, becaise that forum was a difficult one to find, and I know he thinks the heavens of you.
You might already be in contact with him, I am not sure.

Verily verily , truly i say unto thee It is LORD praising time in the digital building and round the world .I had asked under my old user name if they could ban me, but that line did not appear, but I still could not sign onto it. Then I was looking for the same with Johann (who was supposedly banned) but his name is just deleted or something like that. Its hard to tell.
Now over at christian forums they had this cool feature way back (like 20 years ago) where there was this little lightbulb located at the top of your posts and went that went black that meant that poster was in a "time out" (so to speak). Which was a great feature if they didnt respond, or you havent seen them for awhile you wouldnt really worry about them, because you knew they were being corrected for breaking some rule and you could pretty much count on seeing them again (us all knowing those rules and how long those "time outs" would last). Well, they ditched that for some reason, but then alot of the members began to distrust some things, and began running between themselves showing what was going on in the backround, because even that used to be something that was transparent. I think I recall a forum that was set up like a court, where a member could air their greivance openly on a strike or a warning or some thing. But at that time that forum was crazy busy, not just showing "all members" (as if currently active) but the forum was highly active (and had no need of folks who seem as though they are pretty much there to prop up some ressemblance of activity)
I liked that time out lightbulb, because I look now and I know more of them are banned, and not dead because I know them (they are alive) but are showing as active members. But I always wondered what the benfit of that is? Unless that holds a better resale value for a forum owner (showing a forum full of ative members when they are not). That crossed my mind that that could be the case. Not sure though.
When I was banned for six months, I couldn’t read or send messages. I could see that I had a new unread message, but I wasn’t able to open or read it. I only got to read my private messages after the ban was lifted six months later. On other forums, though, I was able to send private messages even while banned. It seems like this forum uses an engine where a banned user completely loses access to their account.
Yes, that happens due to various reasons.Do you ever get to know some members and then suddenly they disappear? This has happened to me several times now.

When I got banned, I saw a pop-up message saying my account was blocked, and after that, I couldn’t do anything with it. I couldn’t even read the forum while logged in. To just browse the forum, I had to log out and view it as a guest. I’ve been active on forums for years, and this is the first time I’ve seen a ban so strict that it blocks even reading access. It feels absurd to me—why apply such harsh measures to my account when I can still read the forum as a guest anyway? What’s the point?Didn't know that.
