Well as I have been saying- just sahow me when the termso f the covenant God declared in Jer. 31 and Heb 8 were fulfilled and you win!!! I have asked that over several threads and all you covenant theology believers refuse to answer.Hebrews 8:6 But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises. 7 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.
Hebrews 10:9 9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Your biggest problem is that you view things through the failed lens of dispensationalism.
No, I don't believe that. Who would ever say that the gospel doesn't need to be preached anymore? Of course I'm not saying that. I'm saying that the new covenant has been fully in effect since Christ shed His blood of the new covenant which provides for the forgiveness of sins (Matt 26:28). People come under the new covenant that was established by the blood of Christ long ago when they put their faith in Christ and then have their sins forgiven and covered by His blood.Maybe I am a little dense here but please show me where in Hebrews 8-10 it says the provisions of the covenant are now fulfilled. Here is the covenant once again:
Jeremiah 31:31-37
King James Version
31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:
36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
37 Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord.
YOu believe those days as said in verse 31 have already come.
so do you believe Jews no longer need to hear the gospel for all the houses of Israel and Judah now know the Lord?
So, explain it then. What did you mean when you said "Jesus' blood is not the New Covenant, but the purchase price of the covenant."?Why am I not surprised.
If only you actually understood what is written in Hebrews 8 to 10 then I would win. But, you don't. Ask God to explain it to you since I apparently am not able to do so.Well as I have been saying- just sahow me when the termso f the covenant God declared in Jer. 31 and Heb 8 were fulfilled and you win!!! I have asked that over several threads and all you covenant theology believers refuse to answer.
Paul makes a certain strong case for us all being one in Ephesians 2, as a current realityIn eternity? Yes! but for the Millennial Kingdom there are disctinctions made between OT saints, the church and tribulation saints showing a distinction between Jewish saints and Gentile saints.
If you wish to learn, I can post the many many many passages in teh OT that show the disctinction between Jews and gentile believers in teh Millennial kingdom. The church is not mentioned for we are the bride of Jesus.
If you're unaware that historical orthodox Christianity pre-dates "roman Catholic teaching", then you've unequivocally confirmed the abject ignorance of your modernist revisionist dispensatanist cultism.I do not care what people say apart from SCripture- Looks like you are leaning heavily on roman Catholic teaching on this. I don't
Why would the blind ask the blind? No one ever asked me if I partake of the Lords supper. _ I do every time our church celebrates it!
I am sure it wasn't simply a scriptural rebuttal if it was deemed inappropriate. Can you repost it with just the scriptures and your interpretation? I am interested in what you have to say.I gave an answer to your question here Keraz but it was deleted by Admin as inappropriate. Hmmmm, I wonder what triggered that?
He's quite sensitive, isn't he? He thinks only he should be allowed to make insulting comments.I gave an answer to your question here Keraz but it was deleted by Admin as inappropriate. Hmmmm, I wonder what triggered that?
I don't recall the specific details and couldn't be bothered investing time to regurgitate them.I am sure it wasn't simply a scriptural rebuttal if it was deemed inappropriate. Can you repost it with just the scriptures and your interpretation? I am interested in what you have to say.
Actually, I think he's quite polite. He does however believe that the scriptures are a crystal ball to primarily reveal the ins and outs of the present day political trajectory in Palestine and cosmic activity. He's quite sensitive, isn't he? He thinks only he should be allowed to make insulting comments.
Wow....you dont have time to back up this statement?I don't recall the specific details and couldn't be bothered investing time to regurgitate them.
You have set yourself up for a terrible deception Keraz. Of course you will deny it because of the pride that accompanies your reluctance to see anything apart from your own view. You have sold objectivity for subjectivity.
Then stop condemning someone and present yoursWhere our focus is, is important....even as students of scripture, nay, particularly as students of scripture. It is a high possible to miss the trees for the forest.
Jesus made this statement regarding this; 'You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life'. John 5:39-40
Where is your focus? When Jesus met up with the guys on the road to Emmaus in Luke 24:13-35, what was it he brought to their attention from the scriptures? ie where was his focus?
Stick around for a while longer.Wow....you dont have time to back up this statement?
Then stop condemning someone and present yours
