What do you think would happen if the world drew up it's own rules for living like they did under the dispensation of human government. God required them to figure up how to live and draw rules up and live by those rules if they were to have a relationship with God. I imagine it would be history repeating itself, man would fail miserably. Just as they did then it is impossible for those with a sinning nature to live by any rules. They cannot surely live by God's rules so you really can't expect them to live by their own rules but that is what happened. Why would God do that? Simple; how else could he deal with a people that has a sin nature with no way of getting rid of it by any kind of message or rules. The only thing that took care of the sinning nature was Jesus Christ and a finished (sin nature destroyed) sin killing cross at Calvary. Glory.
Free at last "thank God Almighty" free at last. To quote Dr. Martin Luther King. That was a different agenda than our freedom in Christ. What he did was magnanimous and should be celebrated like we do by honoring him. But what Luther did was an outer movement but what God has done is an inner movement. What Dr. King didn't know was "he was already free." Your freedom in mind will come by knowledge. Just because of Christ, the cross and everything else God did in Christ for the sinner does not mean the mind is free. Your learning, and the knowledge you live by will come from soul. In Christ because something is truth does not mean the believer is free. They make heaven, their father takes care of them, they are no different than an individual that hunger's for the things of God. But the freedom is found in the knowledge of Christ.
It is a strange the dichotomy to have a declaration of freedom, yet bound by old knowledge. It will be the knowledge you have that determines your freedom in mind. How does a free mind operate? I can tell you that you nolonger operate from a mind that is completely bound by old man knowledge. The mind being renewed is a key to freedom of mind. A free mind will always have areas that need renewed but a believer with knowledge (the mind of Christ) has freedom in mind. Free believers are still not perfect in soul (living life) but their desires change, they no longer look to outer things for their freedom because they have found their freedom in Christ and free to live Christ.
What did Paul say "to live is Christ," that is a man that has freedom in Christ with knowledge. What is the game changer for lack of a better word; it is knowledge. Knowing who you are, how you got to be who you are, and what to do with who you are. That is Paul's message to believers; he tells the exactly that. Don't get caught up in all he was doing to keep the church's he started straight. That is stucture, not revealed Christ message they he purported as an Apostle of God to humanity. His message is not how to run a church, his message is what makes up the church and how it came into being. Our enquiring minds are still trying to figure out how to have church and we get lost in whether to have kind hair or not, or should thexwomen cover their heads and so on. That is meaningless and those that follow that kind of structure never get free in mind anyway. Their gospel is an outer message of how to dress, how to talk, and how to look religiously saved.
Their impact for freedon in this world is basically non exsistence. They are no different from you, nthey see things differently than you. I like to say that on going believers are no different, as far as the are father see's, but they are better off because they are free and have no agendas for living life as God planned it. It will be your life journey to come into revelation knowledge and allow the Holyspirit to reveal all things to you and bring to your remembrance the deep things of God. Bless you.
