Some business owners did this during the Rodney King riots in LA.
Their stores did not get destroyed. They don't do this in small towns though.

Yes I live in Koreatown in Los Angeles. It was some Koreans that got weapons to defend their stores. They even went up on their rooftops and held rioters off. The police had fled our area. Police barricaded so the rioters couldn't go West...so our area got a lot of damage as rioters were contained here.

I think the causes of the riots in France are:

Communist agitation, weak government, globalist instigation, brainwashed students who love chaos and violence, soaring living costs, high inflation, opulence of the wealthy being flaunted, underfunded schools and public services, out of control mass migration, Islamic goal of world conquest, and open-border policies.
