The book of Genesis speaks of a garden where Adam and Eve begin their lives, where God tells them they can eat of any tree accept the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
One of my problems is boredom. How can I keep my mind occupied with interesting things? I thought of "planting a garden" in my mind where there would be fun things to think about, but I've never gotten very far with that.
Something occurred to me this morning. God spoke of there being trees in the garden. A tree yields fruit. We can eat of the fruit, but when the fruit is gone, we have no choice but to look for another tree. The good news is that the first tree will grow more fruit, and we can go back to it over and over. And so it is with the rest of the trees we discover in the garden.
