You can read in scripture, Galatians 1:11,12, about what the gospel is. What is the gospel according to scripture - it is the person of Christ revealed in the believer. The gospel is a person - to know the gospel you must know the person. He must be revealed in you to you as you. The two are one by a birthing in spirit.

'He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit'.

So 'the revelation of Jesus Christ' is the gospel according to what is written. Follow the scriptures because it the only place life comes from death! Glory to God!

The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16). To “believe” the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation.

In regards to the gospel that the apostle Paul received through a revelation of Jesus Christ. (Galatians 1:11-12)

Ephesians 3:1 - For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— 2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, 3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), 5 which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: 6 that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, 7 of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power. 8 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; 10 to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, 11 according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.

This new revelation is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body and fellow partakers of the promise. (Ephesians 3:6) Such equality, Jew and Gentile united together in one body was previously unknown. The distinct message of the church is that Jew and Gentile alike may believe the gospel and be united together into ONE BODY. (Ephesians 1:13; 1 Corinthians 12:13)

The word gospel literally means “good news” and is, broadly speaking, the whole of Scripture; more narrowly, the gospel is the good news concerning Christ and the way of salvation.

"For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us" (Ephesians 2:14)!

"And I will put My Spirit within you, and (((CAUSE))) you to walk in My statutes, and ye shall keep My judgments, and do them" (Ezekiel 36:27).

Being born "DEAD spirits" (Romans 5:12-14; I Corinthians 15:21-22) to whom Jesus commanded "You must be born again of the Spirit" (John 3:5-7) GOD commanded the Prophet Ezekiel to prophesy to the people in Ezekiel 37:12-14

12 "Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the LORD God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

14 And shall put My spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD."

Romans 6:23 says

(((THE GIFT))) is eternal life" and

(((THE GIFT))) is defined as Holy Spirit baptism in Acts 11:17!

Consequently, when Jesus "...baptizes us with the Holy Ghost" (John 1:33; Acts 1:5) and we "receive POWER [Acts 1:8] "to become the sons of GOD" (John 1:12-13)

GOD "puts His Spirit inside of us" (Ezekiel 37:14) Who (((CAUSES))) us to obey His commandments (Acts 1:2; Ezekiel 36:27) then it becomes "GOD WORKING IN US" (Philippians 2:13) and "NOT WE OURSELVES" (Ephesians 2:9)

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GOD DOES EVERYTHING!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< (Isaiah 64:8; Psalm 127:1)!

"Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by [your] might, nor by [your] power, but by My spirit, saith the LORD of hosts" (Zechariah 4:6)!

"COMMUNE" (II Corinthians 13:14) and (((NOT))) setting up tables with a holy eucharist or equivalent (Hebrews 9:1)

"BAPTIZES us" (John 1:33) with the "one baptism" (Ephesians 4:5)

Gives "grace" (Ephesians 4:7) and "faith" (Romans 12:3)!

Gives "LOVE" (((BY))) the Holy Ghost" (Romans 5:5)!

THEREFORE >>>>>>>>THE GOOD NEWS<<<<<<<<<

(((IS))) >>>>>>>>>>>>>"THE POWER OF GOD" (ROMANS 1:16) >>>>>>>DOING EVERYTHING!<<<<<<<<<<

(((NO MORE))) >>>>OLD COVENANT<<< (HEBREWS 9:1-14) WORKING OURSELVES TO DEATH FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS!<<<<

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>GOD DOES EVERYTHING!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< (Isaiah 64:8; Psalm 127:1)!

"And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work" (Romans 11:6).

"But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His" (Romans 8:9).

I don't understand what you mean "...to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation?"

As Christians we BELIEVE IN HIS POWER (Romans 1:16) to raise OUR "dead spirits" up (Romans 5:12-14; I Corinthians 15:21-22) "LIKE AS Christ was raised up by the glory of the Father" (Romans 6:4) when we are Holy Spirit baptized (Romans 6:3; Acts 1:5) and His "POWER comes upon us" (Acts 1:8) Who "QUICKENS" us (I Corinthians 15:45) "back to life" (Ephesians 2:1) from OUR "dead spirits" as we are "born again of the Spirit" (John 3:5-7)!

Thank you for the scriptures. Do you have anything on 'when our gospel began?

"The gospel" began when the last article of the New Covenant (Jeremiah 31:33-34; Hebrews 8:10-12; 10:16-17) or THE PROMISE (Acts 1:4) which is Holy Spirit baptism (Acts 1:5;8) became effective on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:2-4)

Jesus was preaching the gospel of the kingdom to Israel. John the Baptist also preached the gospel of the kingdom, which was, "..Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matthew 3:2) This shows that before the cross, the fuller content of the gospel that Paul taught and came to him through a revelation of Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:11-12) was still a mystery.

Jesus Christ sent the twelve to preach only to Israel. Matthew 10:5 - These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: "Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ The disciples were specifically told to go only to the people of Israel, and they were not yet preaching anything about the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

Now although Peter certainly believed that Jesus was the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16) he had no clue prior to the cross that Jesus Christ would be crucified, buried and resurrected. This is obvious when Peter rebukes Jesus for saying he will be killed, and be raised again the third day." (Matthew 16:21) In verse 22, "..Peter took him and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”

Before his death, Jesus told His 12 disciples that he had to die and that he would rise on the third day. However, it is unquestionable that the disciples were ignorant of its meaning. “Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, … And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken. (Luke 18:31-34).

After the crucifixion of Jesus, instead of anxiously waiting His resurrection, the disciples were still ignorant, disheartened at the death of their Messiah and did not even at first believe the testimony of his resurrection. (Mark 16:14, Luke 24:19-24) It was not until after his resurrection that Jesus appeared to the apostles and opened their understanding. (Luke 24:44-47) The fuller content of the gospel (that you refer to as our gospel) did not begin until the book of Acts.

Those who trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation certainly believe those scriptures and in His power to accomplish those things. Those who don't trust in Christ alone for salvation instead trust in their works for salvation.

Amen!

Peter was still ignorant to the workings of the Holy Ghost because Jesus said Holy Spirit baptism in Acts 1:5 but Peter said WATER in Acts 2:38 who didn't REMEMBER until Acts 11:15-16 which made (((ALL))) water baptisms throughout the Book of Acts NULL AND VOID!

Ok how about after the cross is there a change to the gospel or a whole new gospel altogether? Was the gospel added to or another complete gospel altogether? Trying to see where it fits the two different situations - Jesus said don't go to the gentiles before the cross - how do we fit another gospel in that would go to the gentiles?

YES!

There's a whole new gospel after the cross because Jesus was not yet glorified as the Holy Ghost until after the cross (John 7:39)!

"He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times [II Corinthians 5:16] for the sake of you" (I Peter 1:20)!

15 "And for this cause He is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive (((THE PROMISE))) [Acts 1:4-5; 8] of eternal inheritance [Romans 6:23; Acts 11:17].

16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth" (Hebrews 9:15-17).

"But the LORD said unto him, Go thy way: for he [aka Paul] is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear My name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:" (Acts 9:15)!

"Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God" (Colossians 1:25)!

16 "For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth" (Hebrews 9:16-17).

15 "And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

16 Then (((REMEMBERED))) I the word of the LORD [NOT Acts 2:38], how that He said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

17 Forasmuch then as God gave them [aka the Gentiles] (((THE))) like (((GIFT))) [Romans 6:23] as He did unto us, who (((BELIEVED))) on the LORD Jesus Christ [aka HIS POWER; Acts 1:5;8]; what was I, that I could withstand God?" (Acts 11:15-17)!
