Acts 20:24 (NKJV)
“But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘But none of these things move me;’
For in the learning that one is dead in Christ, will the foundation of that which is immovable be found…. For seeing one has nothing to give to God except as one being a living sacrifice, is the faith of trusting God in all things made complete… For in this trusting, that God might be all and all in one, is the seeing that God must do all or all is nothing, in this, is that, that can not be moved…
‘nor do I count my life dear to myself’
Counting one’s life as not dear to oneself is the separating of one from one’s life of this world…. For as one counts one’s life as nothing before God, it is in this nothingness that opens the life of joy….. It then becomes the most joyful thing, that being, the humility of faith that says; ‘the all of God and the nothing of me’….
‘so that I may finish my race with joy’
Here the all of one’s commitment is made manifest to oneself, for letting the life of Christ in one have its way, is that which produces this kind of immovableness, the fruit of joy being the hallmark of one that is on one’s course….
‘and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.’
For all have received a ministry, that being, in the realm of influence the Lord has called one to, this being the expression of the life of Christ through one to another…It is this being fulfilled, that the joy of Christ becomes that which confirms and establishes one that one might make their calling and election sure….
Be blessed in one’s calling and election being made sure….
Unto Him be our all, Not me
