You know what "growing in maturity" is; when circumstances and situations in your life arise and the father stands back and let's you handle them. You may miss the mark but the point of them (the C and S gang, circumstances and situations) is to bring about maturity. So your father stands and watches his mature son or daughter go through them and can see their growth. That is what is referred to as "growing in grace and knowledge." The believer maturing in the Lord and living what they know. We may think the Lord makes all my decisions for me, but it is quite the opposite. He is looking for you to make quality decisions on your own. You know him, you have been in the Lord for sometime, you have read and studied your bible and the time will come when you have to live what you know. It is a living expression of Christ living through you. You understand what a oracle is; an oracle is a spokes person. The believer is a spokesperson for the Lord, an oracle. You have lost your opinion and give the opinion of the one you speak for. Learning your father will be how you speak. The ecclesia of God, the called out ones. Be ye separate the scripture says. You have something to say and chosen to say it by your father. He called you from the world and you will be separate from the world to speak for your father.
You have learned something and you speak based on what you know about your father and his ways and what he is doing in the earth. It even goes further than that, it goes all the way back before there was anything created. The plan and purpose of God for creation is the glory of God, you carry the glory of God, you have become the glory of the father,
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. - Ephesians 1:12.
The glory of God is revealed in you the scriptures say. You have no argument, you have no message of your own, your opinion does not matter. What matters is you speak, your life speaks, your understanding speaks, and you have nothing on your own. Everything you need is in the father, you have no need to represent anything other than your father.
You represent the kingdom of your father and everything in his kingdom. To the Jew first, or to the Church and then to the world. The church has to hear what the Spirit would say, and the message (your father's message) goes to the world. The world is an important place because that is where the father gets his children. He births them out of the world into his glorious kingdom (Christ in you) and gives them the message of hope and life (Christ in you). Their is no other hope, there is no other way. Only by the father can humanity have life, there is no other life but Christ in you the hope of glory.
