11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. - Jeremiah 29:11.

Not only are you dead to sin because of that death (Christ on the cross), you are free from sin. You know what the law didn't do? Was make you a better Christian, it made you a sinner. At least it exposed your sin and that made you a sinner (you were a sinner by your nature but it exposes sin). That is what the law did it made sinner's and what is so strange is many church's are based on law. Now given the benefit of dought if they really knew what they were doing to be in right standing with God they probably wouldn't do it. But they don't know, it can be very pleasing to your flesh to feel like you are doing right by law keeping to be right with God.

It is a great deception because we feel like "what harm can that do," it does a lot of harm because it is like a disfunctional family that gets passed from generation to generation. There is no such thing as mixing truth and untruth, you cannot mix a little poison in with the good and expect it not to be harmful, a little Leven will go along ways.

I cannot get out of my mind growing up around friends that were raised in strict law keeping home's. No pictures on the walls, no TV's (preacher's referred to them as one eyed monsters), no movies, everything was a no no if it had to do with the world. Some of my friends were really on the verge of not liking their parents very well and that for the law keeping parents was horrendous because they knew scripture said not to provoke their children. Some went off into the deepest of sin you can go. That is a extreme example of law keeping but there are many ways even the most subtle of law keeping.

To this day I have contact with a few of those friends and you cannot talk about God. I hang my head because I want to talk to some of them but they feel like all anyone has to say is going to have to do with law keeping, they abhor it. So the very thing their parents were trying to prevent they caused, that dear friends in my opinion is evil. I believe scripture when it says to "train a child in the way they should go, when they get old they will return." So time will prove law keeping households train their children in a errant way. One of two things will happen; the law keeping will be passed on like a curse or they make the child turn away wanting nothing to do with God or anything spiritual. Bless you that have been under such, this message is for you, you are free to live for God as a believer with no strings attached! Peace to you.

you were a sinner by your nature but it exposes sin

It seems that there are three Natures as I scour the Bible for Truth.

1. Sinful Nature, which is the Mind of the Devil.
2. Divine Nature, which is the Mind of Christ.
3. Human Nature, which is that of a Servant.

The Human Nature will serve anything that comes along its path, which is why Adam and Eve easily fell to the words of Satan in the Garden. They had no Indwelling Spirit that would guide and lead them in the Ways of Righteousness, nor did they possess the Mind of the Devil, which would lead them into disobedience. They simply fell because their human Nature was, in essence . . . naked and bare. However, the Human Nature does not Sin by default . . . it merely serves. It is the Sinful Nature, the inherited Original Sin that is what leads us into disobedience, and not the original Human Nature.

Hope that makes sense, considering it is a short explanation.

Thanks!

In looking at the Scripture below, we find that the human body is controlled by either the Spirit (Divine Nature) or by the Devil (Sinful Nature). Notice that the Human Nature does not control itself? And why? Because it is a Servant. The Human Nature Serves . . . nothing more and nothing less.

Romans 8:5, 9 NLT - 5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. ... 9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)

One thing seems clear, and it is that both of the Sinful and Divine Natures cannot share, or live within the same Temple, which is the Body of a True Jew or Christian. If this is all True, then how could anyone ever say and believe that they possess control over anything at all? It seems that if we were not controlled by the Mind of the Devil or the Mind of Christ, we could then truly be in "control" of ourselves. But if our Father corresponds with our Sinful Nature, we are then, predisposed to sin.

Thanks for letting me share my thoughts. If I am lucky . . . they are True. :D That said, I don't know if I am right or wrong, for I don't depend on the teachings of humans. I do my humble best to listen to the Spirit that I believe is within me.
