Colossians 1:26-27

26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

I have to wonder if Christians ever give thought to the mystery of "Christ in you the hope of glory."
Since it was never Prophesied about, never mentioned by Old Testament prophet's, kept hidden since the world began.
Do Christians realize what that means, does it even register in the minds of men the enormous power that has in scripture.

We see in the Old Testament prophecy about the coming Messiah, he shall save the world by a death on a cross, governments shall be upon his shoulders.
Wonderful things are prophesied in the Old Testament about the coming Saviour.
But nothing about God birthing His own children, nothing about being born again and in perfect union with our Heavenly Father.
No one knew, all that would believe would have Christ in them, Romans 16:25

25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

People want to know what the mystery gospel is, there you have it.
The mystery gospel of "Christ in you the hope of glory," has been revealed.
It is no longer a mystery.
There is a not knowing, there is a never hearing such a thing, there is an ignorance to the mystery, but the mystery is revealed.

We split hairs over pet doctrines and what I believe, and the mystery gospel goes lacking.
Preached from very few pulpits, it is not discussed in our bible studies.
It's taboo in religion to preach Christ the mystery revealed.
Anything that causes religion to lose it's hold on a person will be rejected.
More than likely a board meeting will be set to see if it passes through the bylaws.
This is what Christianity is coming to, bound and decieved to believe man.
There is a certain scripture that will do you justice; it says "let every man be a lier, for God is true."

There are no born again in the Old Testament, no birthed children of God by Christ in them.
See how distorted the gospel can become.
There is Old Testament saints, some loved God, and they did many miraculous things by faith. Respected patriarchs, but none of them were born again.
Abraham dreamed of our day, I believe maybe they did get glimpses of the age we live in, who knows.
But be assured there has never in all the time of creation been anyone like the born again.
We glory in the cross, to God be the glory, what a plan, perfect in every aspect of knowledge and understanding, and He alone can reveal it.

All of the faithful in the OT were born again. Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Dave the born again have Christ in them, no OT saints had Christ in them. That is what makes our age of grace so unique. Born again means you have been birthed by the father, he was not father to any in the OT. There is no comparison to their age and ours, only the cross made it possible to be a father to all that believe now, thanks

John 14:26 KJV
[26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Tecarta Bible Premiumthis is why Paul references the Old Testament so many times. He is enlightened by the spirit magnifying the presence of Christ and his church in the Old Testament. Now he has the narrative.
All this without a copy of the New Testament.

There is Old Testament saints, some loved God, and they did many miraculous things by faith. Respected patriarchs, but none of them were born again.
The OT saints were justified by grace through faith, but after the resurrection of Christ, they were perfected (Heb 12:23) upon entering the New Jerusalem in Heaven. Which also means that they received the Holy Spirit, and upon doing so, were regenerated.

The promise of the Holy Spirit was made in the OT, but it was necessary for the New Covenant to come into effect before the Holy Spirit could be poured out upon all flesh. So this would also have included the regeneration of the OT saints (some of which already had the indwelling Holy Spirit), and for all we know it could have happened on the same day as Pentecost.

They did not enter. No one enters the new Jerusalem until eternity. The wedding supper of the Lamb, an example, has to happen first.

Here are the 24 elders of the OT:
Revelation 4:4 New International Version (NIV)
4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads.

Since I gave you the Scripture, what you are telling the whole wide world is that you don't really believe God.

All the OT and deceased NT saints are in the New Jerusalem RIGHT NOW. As we speak. That is their eternal home. They are not waiting somewhere out there in Limbo or Purgatory.

John 3:3 tells us many who cannot see the present kingdom, but look for a physical kingdom are probably not born again.[/QUOTE

Our kingdom is christ, the kingdom within. We are not kingdom people like Israel was, we are the birthed of God, literal children born from above.
When Christians try to make since out of a kingdom message, usually confusion abounds because that is not our message. Taking 66 books of the bible and trying to make one message out of it is a catastrophe. We have our theologians and scholars who for the most part can't agree on very many points.
Simply because they have done the same thing, it will not work plain and simple. We have this thing in us that knows the bible is the inspired book by God, so we worship it and feel like if it's in the book it's for me.
It may be for you as far as life application but as a message directed to you, no. So begins the lack of knowledge for Christian's as far as what belongs to them.

You did not give a single verse that says they are in the New Jerusalem. The New Jerusalem is in heaven but is not heaven.
