Jacob was given the surname of "Israel" (Gen 32:28) translated from a
Hebrew word that means "He shall rule as God" which doesn't mean rule like
God; but rather; in God's stead.

Well, Jacob ruled neither as God nor in God's stead; and in point of fact,
Jacob didn't even rule his own family very well; it practically ruled him.
However; I'm pretty sure we're safe to take Jacob's surname as a prophecy
looking ahead to Jacob's posterity.

According to John 1:1-14, Jesus was born a composite of human and divine.
However, the human and the divine aren't one, they are distinctly individual
aspects of Jesus' existence, i.e. the one is a spirit being and the other a
material being. (1Cor 15:45)

Well, we can allow the divine to rule as God and in God's stead, but how are
we to allow the human that level of power and prestige?

Back in 2014, Michelle J. Howard became the first-ever female four-star
Admiral in the U.S. Navy. Was Ms. Howard born a four-star Admiral? No, she
was promoted to that rank.

When Jesus ascended to Heaven forty days after his resurrection, he
underwent the ceremony depicted by Daniel 7:13-14 which established him
as the cosmos' supreme ruler. At that moment, he was in a position to rule
in God's stead, but it wasn't till his promotion depicted by Phil 2:7-11 that
he became authorized to rule as God.

Phil 2:9 . . God exalted him to a superior position and kindly gave him the
name that is above every other name

Note that Jesus wasn't given a name above every other name. Rather, he
was given "the" name. What name might that be? Well; it's Jehovah; there
is none higher. So then; Jesus has the God-given right to use God's name
for his own name, viz: Jesus has the right to be addressed as Jehovah, and
the right to be respected and obeyed as Jehovah. Refusal to acknowledge
Jesus as Jehovah is a refusal to acknowledge the glory of God. (Phil 2:10
11) In other words; a shameful disrespect for God's name. (cf. Eph 1:15-21)

Rev 22:16 . . I am the bright morning star.

By comparing Isa 14:12, Luke 10:18, and Rev 2:26-28; it can be readily
deduced that the Bible's morning stars are persons wielding political power.
But none are as radiant as Christ because he's the signet promised to
Zerubbabel by Hag 2:21-23. In other words: Jesus wields the power of God
so much so that he is in the position of God as God.

Rev 1:8 . . I am the Alpha and the Omega-- says the Lord God --who is,
and who was, and who is to come: the Almighty
