Well at least I have verified them by Scripture.
And I didn't?
Were you appointed pastor by the laying on of hands by other elders? Before that were you a member in particular of a local assembly?
My group is congregational in nature. After reading the scriptures that deal with the qualifications of those who would lead the church (e.g. elders, overseers, etc.) the assembly as a whole nominates and votes for the officers in the church.
So you believe that rule- which has been used for nearly 2 millenia is wrong? Forget the man and focus on the words. Is he wrong and if so- w2hy?
What rule is that? We're told "all scripture is inspired by God" (2 Tim. 3:16) Any other writing is of man. That said, we're told to "prove all things" (1 Thess 5:21). Thus in any writings outside of scripture that I refer too in my studies I examine very carefully. I do have 6,000 books in my personal library. Unfortunately, I've never heard of Cooper.
So if one is to disagree with you, you conclude they are not open minded then?
I never said that, you did. You are free to believe as you wish.
How do you know your opinions of revelation are correct? How have you verified them as correct? YOu definietely have reinteerpreted real words and make them allegorical when the literal is very valid. How do you prove your allegorical reinterpretations are what really God meant?
I compare scripture with scripture. What is hidden in the Old Testament is revealed in the New Testament.
How do we know if you really mean what you say and we should not reinterpret them as you do Gods word?
Well If I say it, it's because I believe it.
