[Matthew 25:14 KJV] 14 For [the kingdom of heaven is] as a man travelling into a far country, [who] called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

This is one of the parables that taught Israel the kingdom will be delayed. The kingdom was promised to believing Israel. They would reign with Christ on earth for a thousand years.

[Matthew 25:15 KJV] 15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

His servants were given talents(money).

[Matthew 25:19 KJV] 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.

The Lord returned and reckoned with the servants. The servants gave account.

[Matthew 25:20-21 KJV] 20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, [thou] good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

The profitable servant was made ruler over many things. This represented that the servant of the believing remnant of Israel would be given more authority in the earthly kingdom.

[Matthew 25:24-25 KJV] 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, [there] thou hast [that is] thine.

This was an unprofitable servant.

[Matthew 25:30 KJV] 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The unprofitable servant lost position in the earthly kingdom.

Wrong. The parable was directed to Christ's Church, regardless of whether a believing Israelite or a believing Gentile.

The unprofitable servant is about one who just believes, and does nothing. Those in Christ are called to have works in Christ also. The works are not what saves us, because God's Salvation is a free gift we could never earn. But like Jesus said, wherever your treasure is, that's where your heart will be. Thus our Faith in Christ should produce works in Christ.

The unprofitable servant is thus cast to the "outer darkness" where the wicked will be. The Revelation 22:14-15 Scripture gives us an example of exactly where that "outer darkness" area will be.

You cited Rev .......................[Rev 22:14-15 KJV] 14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Entering through the gates of the city refers to New Jerusalem which was promised to believing Israel.

We can lose rewards, but nowhere are we said to be cast into outer darkness in Paul's epistles.

“I knew you to be a hard man” reaping where you sowed not, gathering where you dispersed not.

What of the verses regarding God has sown abroad in Christ, liberally, dispersing seed to the poor? Abundantly! How can the sower and the seed …and Him who has sown seed abundantly reap and gather where He sowed not and gather where He dispersed not?

Also…it’s men’s law that is the hard man …for the law could make none perfect being made weak by the flesh. This “hard man” in the parable is “the slaves” master. you can’t serve two Masters. In the parable there is only one way to not serve two Masters …it’s the burial where mens boasting is cut off at the man feared “I knew you to be too hard for me” so I buried what is yours. “here is what belongs to you.” If this man is speaking to the hard man …what is buried in the ground that belongs to the hard man? Could it be what Jesus Christ removed by the circumcision in the “casting off” the body of sins? As the body returns to the dirt, but the Spirit which God gives returns to God whom gave it. No body knows what Body it will be given. Except God? It is sown a physical body, raised incorruptible Body. whom did Jesus Christ die for if not the one who lacked the most and was poor?? Yet we revere those who have and are even given more.

Personally as Jesus Christ is going to be crucified and “Buried”(when he gives this parable) so we can have freedom being no more “slaves of sin unto death” but awakened unto “obedience unto righteousness” bringing forth fruit unto God…

the parable the “death” and “burial” parable…foreshadowing through Jesus Christ death those who fear death can be free from it. By that foundation which God laid no other man can lay, except God. How many times do we have to read Romans 6:4-5 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. [5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
John 12:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it die, it brings forth much fruit.< to bring forth fruit, it first must be buried. Having passed from death unto Life.
Romans 7:3-4 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. [4] Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
^ the parable Jesus Christ gives unto them before His burial, as the woman with the alabaster box comes to prepare Him for His death and burial …the disciples reveal this parable regarding “money” and what is “profitable” in their displeasure that she wasted the precious ointment that could have been sold for money …The same way the parable, we conformed unto this world not transform by the renewing of the mind. It displeased the disciples there was waste of that which could have been sold for money and given to the poor.

yet Jesus Christ said to leave her alone for she prepared Him for His death and burial. For God desire is there be much fruit. He is what is profitable and it has nothing to do with “money”. As if God left us His possession of “money” great “wealth” for profitable increase. Paul speaks of as poor yet making many rich. The same Paul that repeatedly tries to get through to us “buried” “buried” “dead” — the Faith part of it is sown in Hope in God.

We may say the man who buried his one talent thought his Master to be a hard man. His Master said:
Wicked!
Lazy!
Slave!
Throw out the “worthless Slave” …put off the old man and his malice. How? If not it must be “buried” with Christ, the man cried to the one he knew to be a hard man …”it’s too much for me and I feared, so I dug a hole and buried what is yours!” ….what is yours Master is over there in the ground buried. Money? Then give Caesar the things that are Caesar’s.
Matthew 22:17-21 Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?" [18] But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, "Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? [19] Show me the coin for the tax." And they brought him a denarius. [20] And Jesus said to them, "Whose likeness and inscription is this?" [21] They said, "Caesar's." Then he said to them, "Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
We say “if you don’t use your talents you will be cast unto hell” Does God give talents based on our own abilities? (2 Corinthians 3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;)

Slaves under the Law…the Hard task master. law based belief God is Harsh. harsh demands. More than we can handle!! Have you not heard the law? …yet Brothers you also have become dead to the law by the body of Christ. How so? Buried in His likeness…having passed from death unto Life.
Wherefore, my brethren, you also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ;
that you should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.<<< to bring forth fruit unto God >>>First you also have become dead to the law by the body of Christ.
Buried

We sneer at the man not able to bear the hard task master … burying what belonged to the hard man. But what ofMatthew 11:25-30 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because You have hid these things (Colossians 3:3 For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.) from the wise and prudent, and have revealed them unto babes. [26] Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in Your sight. [27] All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knows the Son, but the Father; neither knows any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. [28] Come unto me, all you that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
