Notice the similarities of the parable of the 10 virgins to Ezekiel’s account of Christ’s return; Ezekiel 14: 1-5. These similarities are: 1. Both instances are describing an event which takes place on Christ’s return. 2. And in both passages half of the participants don’t make it. A close examination of Ezekiel’s account shows that Jerusalem will be experiencing what appears to be a successful fortress attack in progress, which is prompting Christ to act on the inhabitant’s behalf. Notice the account of the two witnesses (that are also in Jerusalem) which shows that these two will be protected during the GT. This protection is extended to the inhabitants (the144,000 and the Daughters of Zion) of Jerusalem. However, after 1260 days that protection falls allowing the A/C to kill the two witnesses. This drop in protection also allows the armies of the A/C to restart the fortress siege which began at the middle of the GT when the A/C entered the temple. Luke 21: 20"When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. So, for the 1260 days of the GT the unwise and the wise virgins will intermingle within the old city walls. But somehow an event will transpire which encourages a separation of the groups, where half will move to a side of Jerusalem which will fall to the A/C’s armies. Zech 14: 2 I will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city will be captured, the houses ransacked, and the women raped. Half of the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be taken from the city. I believe it is the siege itself that prompts the separation. Think about, when you have a breach in a fortress siege, who inside the fortress moves toward the breach? Why those prepared for the breach (usually men/soldiers). And the remainder (usually women) moves away from the breach. And in this case, the parable of the ten virgins clarifies that half of inhabitants are prepared and half are not. As the breach transpires, the unprepared virgins will move away to one side of the city. It is this side of the city that falls first. Then Christ comes, setting foot on the Mount of Olives which sends an earthquake that split’s Jerusalem in half, half to the North and half to the South. It is this earthquake which separates and protects the rest of the inhabitants from the A/C’s forces. Zech 14: 4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. 5And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. So, which side do you think is the right side to be on; North or South? In Yehoshua,Guy Smith
