Proverbs 18:21 (TPT) tells us that our “words are so powerful that they will kill or give life.” Proverbs 16:24 (TPT) says, “Nothing is more appealing than speaking beautiful, life-giving words. For they release sweetness to our souls and inner healing to our spirits.”


May God Guide you to see that what we speak is important in this life.

It's hard for us to hold our tongue back,

  1. James 3:
  2. but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing.

that needs to be done by the strength of Christ

  1. Philippians 4:
  2. 11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.




by praying and asking God.

  1. LUKE XI. 13. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your Children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him.

The choice is will you degrade others, and put them in the dirt.

There are very Religious people, whom are high-minded with their theology - that even includes me cause all of us have a high mind when it comes to what we believe, but when something that comes up against you that you do not like, or I do not like.
It's first coming in and through the soul (the mind/will/emotion) and it comes out through the flesh -

Getting so mad you hit the wall,

Getting so mad you tell your mother you hope she falls down the stairs and breaks her neck.

This is why anger does not produce the righteousness of God. (James 1:20)


The reality of the flesh and the thoughts or even the actions, can kill you but also kill others when you act out.



I have been slowly learning this now for years.

However though when you mess up,

do not get down on yourself, assess your self, assess your own heart.

Examine, and whatever causes you to go forth into having NON-love, or downgrading otheres.

Seek out God, and talk to him, and tell him about what is your in heart no matter how horrible and as your Father he will help you.

Maybe you can reconcile with that person, and everything will be okay, maybe that person may never come back, but with Gods help

He can make a difference in your life the next time you interact with someone new.

Experience makes the difference and assessing yourself by examining.

being resurrected, to condemnation, or to life, I do not know.


But if you can learn now to realize one of our human natures flaws, you will be better off.

Dying and mortifying the flesh is not easy but it is something that can be done.


Colossians 3
5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature:

sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.[b]

7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.

8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these:

anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.

9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

2) For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

If you can control how you speak so you do not offend others, you are also able to control your body, and what you do.

I think that the same disciplines we learn as we learn to control what we say, and how we say it, that this also gives us that discipline over the rest of our being.

Learning to control our speech has great reward!

2) For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

If you can control how you speak so you do not offend others, you are also able to control your body, and what you do.

I think that the same disciplines we learn as we learn to control what we say, and how we say it, that this also gives us that discipline over the rest of our being.

Learning to control our speech has great reward!

James is a great book, and I believe the thing that doesn't offend - is life giving words, that come by and through spirit.

Matthew, please notice that not all of these is to a born again Christian. For instance, these are not,

5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature:

sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.


7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived.

These are the sins not unto death that we must now overcome by growing in the fruit of the Spirit to perfection.

8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these:

anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips.
