Matthew 27:27-29 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto Him the whole band of soldiers. And they stripped Him, and put on Him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon His head, and a reed in His right hand: and they bowed the knee before Him, and mocked Him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

John 19:2-5 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on His head, and they put on Him a purple robe, And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote Him with their hands. Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring Him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no fault in Him. Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!

Is the writing of the scarlet and the purple robe an error? Or is more being taught? Who is associated with scarlet and purple?

Revelation 17:3-5 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

We find the same colors associated with the tabernacle.

Exodus 36:37 And he made an hanging for the tabernacle door of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, of needlework;

A lesson that not all we see/hear/learn in our churches or from those in authority are of God. The great whore has been part of God's plan from the beginning.

Contemplating the "great whore" as a metaphor to describe the apostate church we see behind the masquerade of her regal refinery.

Some commentators associate the coloured vests of bishops and cardinals with this vision, not sparing the accessories of popes from inclusion.

Harlots use trade names do they not? This one's is written across her metaphorical forehead.

The book of Revelation helps us understand many aspects of God's plan, including the victory of good over evil.

Rev 17:14-18 (KJV)
14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful. 15 And he says unto me, The waters which you saw, where the whore sits, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which you saw upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God has put in their hearts to fulfil His will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. 18 And the woman which you saw is that great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth.

Yes, humanity has the ability to see everyone else as the problem. Protestants see the Catholics in their scarlet and purple robes and scream....the great whore. Catholics see Protestants, in those same scarlet and purple robes but camafloged in a suit and tie and scream...the great whore. She is with us wherever we are because....she is us. She is that "great city" in which our Lord was crucified and as long as we "dwell on earth" we are tax paying citizens of that same great city.

We are the "flesh" of the great city/whore of Babylon that the ten horned beast dines on. Until....we die to self! Then, we no longer "dwell on earth" but have been translated to His kingdom. We walk on earth, (it is now under our feet where it belongs) but we dwell with Him.

Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:

Revelation 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, My people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Although two colors were used to describe the robe placed over our Savior, purple and scarlet, when we see those colors mentioned in the Bible they are always joined by the color...blue. Red, Yellow and Blue are the primary colors. When you mix Red with Blue you get Purple. Those same colors, purple and scarlet, placed over the Savior, are interwoven in His tabernacle and....we are His tabernacle/His body. They are there today!

Exodus 26:1 Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them.

The three colors are mentioned together throughout Scripture except as touching His holy things.....

Numbers 4:5-7 And when the camp setteth forward, Aaron shall come, and his sons, and they shall take down the covering vail, and cover the ark of testimony with it: And shall put thereon the covering of badgers' skins, and shall spread over it a cloth wholly of blue, and shall put in the staves thereof. And upon the table of shewbread they shall spread a cloth of blue, and put thereon the dishes, and the spoons, and the bowls, and covers to cover withal: and the continual bread shall be thereon:

Scarlet and Purple are in His house but they shall not "cover the ark." Only Blue has that honor. We have the Elect, the Righteous and the Wicked. The Heaven, the Earth and the Sea. I see them as Blue, Purple and Scarlet. The blue and scarlet fight for the purple as the elect and the wicked fight for the righteous.
