Red algae or red tide usually comes from raw sewage or garbage being dumped into the ocean...which eats the garbage or sewage and cleans up the water and eventually dissipates and goes away.

This is a guess (but a pretty good one) about what happened in Egypt and God getting revenge on the Egyptians for killing the male Hebrew babies by throwing them in the river. (Giving them to the River god)

Well, as we see the oceans are getting hotter than ever and this has many affects on hurricanes and storms, and something many dont think about, red tide.. Climate Adaptation and Harmful Algal Blooms | US EPA.

Red tides in the Gulf and Florida have been documented back in the 1700's.
The record high in Texas happened 100 years ago. 117 degrees. This has been a hotn summer though.
