My devotional this morning was about God calling Abraham to go to a place he didn't know. But what struck me is that although Abraham didn't know where he was going he knew the One who was sending him. It sounded so simple.
And for some reason this set me to thinking about The simplicity of Christianity.
We don't need rules, regs or rituals to follow or adhere to because we simply need to follow God's Son Jesus and live our lives with Him at the centre, the Lynchpin and living as he taught us to live. It's as simple as that.
It's more than just knowing about God, it's about having a one to one personal relationship with Him through Jesus. It's about coming to Him when we are broken and in need and letting him into our lives to love us and guide us. It's about knowing our sin is forgiven and that we are free from the consequences of our sin, It's about knowing that we are made new.
I have found that there are so many people who make it so complicated that they miss out on the best part which is having that close relationship with God our Heavenly Father.
