The soul mind
The soul-mind is the place of the uniqueness of your creation. It is an expression of who you are. It is an organ of expression that allows you to be yourself. Human being are made up of body, soul, and spirit. They are tripartite in make up and expression.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Example: they live by their spirit-nature, spirit-nature is expressed by the uniqueness of their creation the soul-mind, and lived out through body.
For the believer to live life (Christ) they must know where to read and get their understanding. What did the Apostle Paul say, "if I live it's Christ" not an imitation or acting out life, but living real life. Those that try to be good Christians and do everything they know to do right end up with a distracted image of what a Christian is supposed to be.
In time they find the gospel they have put together does not work. You can not work this, it is a life style that is spontaneous and lived by knowledge.
Galatians 2:20
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
You live who you are, you live Christ and allow the uniqueness of your creation to be used as an instrument for the Christ life. That is yielding your mind and body to Christ who is your only life.
Romans 6:13
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
You are one in spirit, the soul-mind has some catching up to do.
Romans 12:1-2
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
