Ecclesiastes 4:
8. There is one alone, and there is not a second; .........,.....................................,.................................................
9.Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
10. For if they fall, the one will LIFT UP his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
11. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
12 And if one prevail against him, two shall WITHSTAND HIM; and a threefold cord is NOT quickly broken.

We are instructed that we wrestle NOT AGAINST FLESH & BLOOD...........
Ephesians 6:12-20
but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS IN HIGH PLACES.

After God created man, he said" it is not good for man to be ALONE......." If you are a lone ranger, you may think that is a sign of strength, but the truth is you are much weaker then when you are connected.

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12).

Solomon is emphasizing an age old truth; there is strength in numbers. In his analogy, he focuses on a cord of three strands. So let's discern what he means when he says that a cord of three strands is not easily broken.

It is simply a cord of three strands that become braided or intertwined together.
This type of cord is very difficult to break. It doesn't mean it can't be broken; it just means it's harder to do.
The braided cord is much stronger and harder to break than the three INDIVIDUAL CORDS separately.
The binding of the strands in a braided rope serves not
only to keep a rope together, but enables the rope to more evenly distribute tension among the individual strands. Without any twist in the rope, the shortest
strand(s) would always be
supporting a much higher
proportion of the total load.

However, there is one critical point to this; it ONLY WORKS when the cords are braided TOGETHER, not when they REMAIN SEPARATE.This means we are not competing against others, but you are connecting with them. For one to have more support or be more productive, we must get connected or intertwined with other people, where we each strengthen each other.

Philippians 2:2 - Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be like minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

1 Peter 3:8 - Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:

1 Corinthians 1:10 - Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Colossians 3:14 - And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

Ephesians 4:3 - Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Romans 15:6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
