Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Christ is the Tree of Life and Christ is The Word so the Tree....IS the Word. The leaves on the Tree would be the leaves of The Word...pages of the Bible, for "Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me." [Ps.40:7] Those leaves heal as God's firstfruits, those of the "first resurrection," feed/teach the righteous souls

This passage is talking about a real tree. It's apparently the same tree that had sprouted in Eden.

Those who are of the resurrection are given a body that is incorruptable (see 1 Corinthians 15:54). They have no need for healing or trees since they've been given a glorified body. The tree of life is apparently given for those who still possess a physical body. The passage is very clear. There is no apparent metaphor intended.

Which leads one to the conclusion that God intends to grant a massive amount of healing to the people of the earth.

Won't this raise a rukus with the pharmaceutical companies?
