2 Timothy 1:12b (NKJV)

This is the voice of faith, a heart that has searched after God and found Him…. For searching after and finding, and then trusting the love of God towards one, is that that is capable of producing this persuasion…. For to give oneself unreservedly to God’s love and goodness itself, is that faith that can trust itself to be kept by this love… For God is love, God is goodness itself given to all that are willing to believe…. For it is in this searching after this love and this goodness that one’s heart becomes persuaded that He is able to keep… For one is not trusting one’s own goodness, but the goodness of God, which itself is the eternal heart of God desiring to manifest itself, it being open to whomsoever….. For being persuaded that the goodness and love of God is pointed towards one, is the strength of the faith that will be kept….
