God the Father gives commands to mankind to obey good given of his holy spirit. He gives commands to not engage in works of evil. Evil works are sin which is death.

That old serpent gave a deception to disobey God's commands, or word of life given to Adam and Eve.
He became eventually a destroyer angel, an angel of death. Those who kill by the sword die by the sword. Those that lead to captivity go to captivity. Such are the ways of Cain, and the dark spiritual cities of Sodom and Egypt where our lord was crucified.
Satan, the deceptive murderer became so dead he became ill and void of bread of life. That Illness spiritually led to all manner of evil, including thefts of all kinds.
Satan serves a master void of life. It is like mammon, lifeless, inanimate, without Godly natures and virtues. An idol of worship like gold that one finds as the die, yet never reaching infinite knowledge of the way of Cain, or knowledge of evil from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
When something reaches a measure of darkness of kinetic dark energy as imagined by scientists it becomes a black hole or frozen in space and time. The event horizon surrounding a dying star. Like a mote around a castle, so black with death of walls, that it can no longer share the plagues within the castles city. The event horizon being the space time mote, the dying, too massive star, incompatible with life baring planets.
The son of perdition kinetically plagued mankind with accusations against his brotheren, even after Jesus and father forgave them and healed them. Such are the stories from Sodom and Egypt also. Lazarus healed and they still sought to put him to death. Lazarus was a living testament of God's love for him. Christ a living testament of God's love for Christ's family, friends and followers. He sat with the sinners and publications, but rebuked his enemies as they were the enemies of his father. And sought to silence his witnesses and testament and covenants of the lord God.
Mammon in the end, like the son of perdition is void and not to be sought by tast, nor touch, nor engaged in the works of death.
In defending Christ and his redeemed people he may forgive and heal those that serve him. God and his servants are wise in maintaining his kingdom on earth, even from the enemies of his kingdom.
God delivers Israel from captivity and the sword thru Christ our lord. In this life or the life hereafter. God is all knowing and all wise. He is all loving, slow to anger, full of life, and love. Alive forevermore for us to receive of him in love and kindness, friendship and service of him and his people. And children.
