In your study and searching the scriptures always keep in mind that what we have today is all an inner work of God. That goes along way when you are searching the scriptures because it helps to keep you locked into what God is doing in his children, and more so it keeps you from trying to play out situations like happened in the Old Testament. Your father is working to get your mind renewed to what is going on in the world (as far how He uses the world to bring along a believer).
We need to KNOW how it is the Lord is using all things for the good. That needs to be taken very serious and studied to understand how the world works on behalf of what it is the Father is after. That is a good point, what is the Father after in His children; He is after his children to grow up, mature, make decisions. He calls them son's, they are birthed son's but the maturing of that son takes a process in a life all the days of your life. Scripture says Jesus'
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; - Hebrews 5:8.
That should really roll around in the believer, that needs to get fixed in your understanding of the working of your Father for what He wants. We are a very needy people, we need clothes, food, a home, money, and whatever else you may need. But have you ever given much thought to what your Father may need or wants. Your Father has wants, there is something in this life He wants from a believer and the sooner we find that out the better it will be. Better because we can move on have some knowing of what it is our Father is doing in the world. The world is not spinning out of control like He is on vacation. The world will always hammer home what it is the Father is wanting.
I used to think that if some evil event took place in the world it may be God's judgement on humanity. But not so much now, not when you see how the Father is using all things for your good and the world is His schoolhouse. It is still evil but you look at it different. All things are working to push (nudge people) to Christ. I use a term "nothing like a good dose of the world to get someone's attention." It's true, in every day life and living the schoolhouse never lets out it is always in session. It does not matter if I bring it on myself, or the Father is bringing it, or the Devil, it is there and it is there for a reason and purpose. So if it is Satan buffeting you or you just blew it or the Father takes matters into His Own hands, it don't matter. The schoolhouse is working for the good of all that believe and called according to HIS purpose. You should underline 'His purpose' and learn to roll with the flow, grow up into Him and be what we were birthed to be "maturing saint's and son's of God.
