So everything in the world is at odds with you to come into what it is God had in his mind before the foundation of the world. Third dimension - if you can see it, it wrestles with you at one point or another in your life. Something is always working against the knowledge of God - in you. Keeping the world from knowing, keeping believers from knowing what God's intention is in creation. It is the principalities and powers that work against fourth dimension. At least in the form of not knowing the Intent of God. Forces so powerful you will have to battle for what you believe!
On a personal level, I have a hard time looking at it, and those that claim they have just come along and decided to join a particular group and be part of something and fit into that group. To me that just doesn't seem right, I know it is possible, but it doesn't seem right. Not in this world because everything is working against you at a level no one can withstand on their own. The battle will always be - the world, the flesh, and the devil.
Those are odds stacked against you. Think about the miracle of God when he saved you. What did it take to get you to that point. It was a miracle we came to that. Many don't, many never will come to that - everything is working against them.
We don't blame the world, or each other, we can't blame anything because we are in the world and the world is working against you. Now the Lord uses all things, but it is against you. So the natural tendency is to push back against it. What does scripture say?
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. - Romans 8:19-23.
