Colossians 1:16-17,
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
All things consist or subsist by Christ. That means Christ is holding this world together, nothing destroys or takes over this world, good or evil as long as Christ subsisting powers are working. How do you think this world stays together in the midst of such evil as we live in today. This world will probably get a lot worse before it's over.
There are wars and rumors of wars but if you notice nothing up to this point has destroyed the world. Because all things subsist by Christ. Fear in the world has always declared that whatever is going on at the time may perhaps destroy the world. Some of the older generation may remember when the big push was that communism was going to take over the world. Today it is a lot of other events that are going on in the world and the big push is; if we do not do something about it the world as we know it will be destroyed.
It is all folly, this world will rock along as long as God is using this world to get what he wants. Our understanding of what the father wants out of this world would be more important to us then what goes on in the world. Don't be taken up with this world, don't be caught up in the world, the world has nothing that you need let it go, only fear is produced when you meddle in the world's affairs apart from seeing the plan and purpose of God.
Do you know what that means, you can have joy and happiness in this world because the world will not dictate to you what is your joy and your happiness. What goes on in the world good or bad does not sway you one way or another. That does not you mean you are not concerned with the world and the things in the world, but the world has no control over you.
