See, if you have attempted to read this when it was written not to read this... you have just proven that the law does not work.

To just look at the law and read it as mere words changes no one for they/we are going to do what their heart leads them to do no matter what is written.
That is why the law had to be given, to prove they/we could not keep it.
When we/they came out of Egypt they/we had so many wrong ways in our thinking and doing that God needed to show them/us the error of their/our ways. They/we needed cleaning up for we have become as filthy rags. God's ways are higer than our ways and sin is not acceptable. We must become holy as He is holy. They/we needed help so that we could learn how to keep the commandments of God being a doer of the Word not just a hearer only.
Col 2:14
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

So, now God gave us a new covenant. He forsook the Word of the old covenant that had accumulated laws added to the ten in the Stone/Christ and left them nailed to the cross to release us from the bondage of them for they had been added to the Original Law for not being able to keep them.
He then resurrected The Christ back up in his original 10 in the Stone/Christ/Rock solid foundation of God's temple and condensed them to 2 which if done correctly, fulfill all 10 commandments for if you truly love others as yourself, you would not lie to them, cheat them, covet their spouses or things, nor kill or murder them etc....

And if you truly honor & trust in God to serve Him only you would be displaying the works of this... I am not talking about physical works such as starting up a food kitchen to feed the hungry who reject Christ. I am talking about works of FAITH in God to work in your life, to provide for you, to protect you, to heal you for faith without works is dead. If you say God heals then why are you reaching for the doctors phone number or taking those sorcery pills. God needs no hand from man! By His Hand are things accomplished, healed and who is His Hand? Jesus is the Hand of God for the Father does everything by His Word/Christ. And we would love to keep His Sabbath day of rest which is still the 7th day which is the day that Jesus arose from the dead and stood in the midst of the disciples between 6-12 pm Saturday evening which is still the 7th day for us, but the dawn of a new day being the 1st day of the WEEK for the Jews.
And finally you will definetly love His Word for He is exactly as His Word, just as we are exactly as our word. God gave us His Word and the Word/Jesus revealed the Father, who is His Word to us.

By Jesus in his flesh body dying on the cross to pay our sin debt that we had accumulated in our life, he also made it possible for us to receive the Spirit of God who is called our helper our teacher to guide us into all truth of the Word so that we can become overcomers of our lack of ability to keep the law in our fallen flesh nature and be reunited to God by the Spirit for accepting Christ/The Word. The Hebrew children did not have that luxury and many of them died or returned to Egypt. Oh, they ate the same manna and drank the living Water from the Rock as well but they did not mix it with faith and they did not have the Spirit to indwell them as we do.

10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

But now Jew and Gentile both coming together as the two sticks in the Hand of God, being the Word of God that the Father creates and restores all things by, through and with we are being born again from above to heavenly Jerusalem who is our mother while earthly Jerusalem is dying she is old covenant and is fading away. We begin learning how to walk in the Word as spiritual babes, falling down at times, but by the Father's grace, we have been given the blood of Christ so that we can repent while we are still down there on our knees and then He helps us get back up so that we can keep learing how to walk in line abiding in the Word as the good Shepherd keeps us in line with the Rod/Word/Law so that we begin to walk straight no longer as lame and walking Crooked.
With persistance we soon grow more and more into the image(attributes) of the Son and before you know it, we no longer drink milk as a babe but we can now chew Meat of the Word learning the business of our Father, just as Jesus did when he was 12 and found left behind in the temple saying, Did you not know that I would be about my Father's business?

Jesus was rich, yet he became poor. He did this to show that we must tear down our old temple and begin from the Beginning with the Word to build upon a Rock solid foundation so that God can raise us up into a son whom He is well pleased in the image of the Firstborn/Son whom will rule and reign with Christ as kings and priests for the new world to come.
When we learn by the Spirit how to do what is right in God's sight.... we will not need to be TOLD what to do.. it will come naturally and with it comes honor wholeness in all areas in our life.. The wisdom of God is the greatest thing you can have or give to show love to others, for if they receive it then God who owns the whole earth and all that is in it can use them for marvelous things and He always provides their way to have the best of everything.

The point of my post was to show that even if you give a law such as Do not read this, it stops no one from reading it, nor did the written law stop them from breaking the laws. It is only when we get the laws written in our hearts to desire to obey them which is what the Word and the Spirit are doing when we have given our heart to God. The are performing open heart surgery on us : )

They have been condensed to two and IF you are led of the Spirit you are not under law because the Spirit will not lead you to sin it leads you to learn how to walk in the Word so that you don't die. Jesus did not come to do away with the 10, He came to fullfill the whole law in his lifetime to become worthy of our sacrifice for Adam's sin. To redeem our bodies, salvage us to restore God's man and His people:
Matt 5:17-19
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

You just have to be careful on this subject, because many Christians get the idea that they can break the 10 commandments deliberately and not have to repent.

I thought I had made it clear that if we say we love God, then we must obey the Word for they are one in the same. The Father is the same as His Word?
Jesus is the Word of God and he is the same yesterday, today and forever for the Word never changes.

We are learning how to keep his commands not throwing them out as in law-lessness which brings us back into darkness. Only those who prefer the darkness try to kill Jesus saying we don't have to obey the law, for they are anti-Word. It was the old law with the added laws that died, not the 10 which is Christ the foundation of the church who is his body and the temple.
Now, we in ourselves were not able to keep the law because we had unclean spirits.. but that is not the case anymore, we have been {hopefully} given the Spirit of truth to guide us in the Right direction. Without holiness, no one can see the Lord for he is holy and we be as he if we claim to be part of his holy body.

You are right about love fulfilling the law.

You are wrong about this though...

You won't find any allusion in the entire Bible of Jesus dying to pay a "sin debt that you accumulated,"

Jesus gave Himself as a RANSOM which means he PURCHASED YOU. Sinners sell themselves into the dominion of sin through choosing to sin and Jesus purchases them back so that they can then serve Him as their new master.

This "paying our sin debt" is actually quite a dangerous teaching when carefully examined because it twists the basis of redemption into being a forensic legal transaction as opposed to that of a forsaking of rebellion through coming to a genuine heartfelt agreement with God by which one yields to Him again.

In other words, viewing the death of Christ as an abstract legal exchange whilst the seed of iniquity remains in the soul gives birth to a false assurance of actually being saved, which in turn serves an an antitode to the teaching of genuine reconcilation.

Satan's most effective deceptions are rooted at the most fundamental level of doctrine in order to skew all that which is built on top. Satan is very subtle in his deceptions which is why the Bible admonishes us all to be prudent.
