They were deemed to be righteous, but not unto eternal life............[ROMANS 3:10 KJV] 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:............They were righteous in the sight of God by keeping all the commandments of God.
For Israel to enter the Davidic earthly kingdom and reign with Christ for a thousand years, they had to keep the commandments and be righteous. Not to be righteous for eternal life, but to be righteous in order to enter the earthly kingdom.........[MATTHEW 5:20 KJV] 20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed [the righteousness] of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
