My two preferred English translations are the New King James and the King James.

Though they are excellent trustworthy translations, they have some minor mistakes.

There is a group of folks who believe the King James Bible is Gods only approved English Bible.
They believe it is perfect, therefore every single English word chosen was chosen by God Himself.

For those of you who believe this, I want to help you learn that your church is unfortunately ignorant and have been misled.

I will give only one example for now but there are many others. One is all that is required to prove this belief false.
Romans 8:26,
- likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the Spirit itself
maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered KJV

Shocking that the old KJV has WOKE pronouns for God. (Just kidding)

The Godhead has three PERSONS.
Everytime God,Yahweh is mentioned in the sacred Scriptures He is masculine language.

Ghost is one awful choice for an English word to describe the Holy Spirit.
He has His own mind.
He has His own thoughts.
He has His own person.

The English translators of the KJV get His pronouns correct in the book of John.
John 16:13,
- Howbeit when  He the Spirit of truth is come  He will guide you into all truth for  He shall not speak of  Himself but whosoever  He shall hear that shall  He speak and  He will show you things to come

Now Romans 8:26 with corrections made,
- likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the Spirit  Himself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered

If you believe me incorrect.
Then Jesus is an it.
Then the Father is an it also.

If not why not?

I also have used the KJV for years, but I'm not naive enough to not know there are some errors in there.

But, at least it's far more accurate than these new translations that have come out that have bias built in from religious folks trying to get people to see things from their perspective rather than trying being true to the original text

Amen, you hit the nail on the head with modern day translations.
Many are more like private interpretation, commentaries of mens opinions.

Yep and too many people claiming to be Christians are just too lazy to dig in to God's Word to learn it for themselves.

Instead they just take the word of whatever the guy up front is telling them at whatever building they attend gatherings at where it is claimed Christianity is being taught.
