Today is a very joyous day...I will be crying for half of it...

Today I will be attending my first born grandchild's Graduation Ceremony....
Time flew by way too fast!
I have so many wonderful memories of her as she was growing up...she lived with me most of her life...
I suffered the empty nest syndrome when my 2 daughters graduated and flew the coop....now I will be doing it again.
I thank the Lord that she has grown into a beautiful young woman...she is such a wonderful, strong, and grounded individual...never touched drugs, alcohol or cigarettes as some of her friends did.
The world is so big and she has been so sheltered...oh Lord I pray that she is equipped to handle the challenges in life that she will face...be near her always.

Now you if ya'll don't mind I am going to cry for a bit...

Moving On

Here you stand at the gateway to life ;
On the brink of new adventures and new freedoms;
Here you stand looking forward to the years ahead;
Making plans; dreaming dreams; moving forward.
You’re feeling full of hope for your future;
You have vision and energy and joy.
You are blessed with a family who love you,
And you’ll grow and mature and move on.
The girl you are still will grow into the woman you will become.
And although you have done with formal learning
You must always be ready and willing to learn lessons from life;
For they are the most important.​
