I think we should look at what the new testament teaches and how the early church (and Jesus) responded to persecution. In more recent times, I've heard of those under heavy persecution asking that we pray not for the persecution to stop, but that their faith would hold. God's wisdom and ways are higher than ours.

Old Testament battles are parables/allegories for spiritual warfare - the new testament says we are not wrestling with flesh and blood and our weapons are not carnal. Those old testament accounts are not carnal lessons that new covenant believers are to take literally. King David having actual blood on His hands was disqualified from building God's house - that is something we need to take note of, I believe.

If we were facing a member of Boko Haram holding our newborn in one hand while lifting a machete to behead her using his other hand, and you as that baby's parent had a gun in your hands and knew how to use it,would you pray for your baby and the terrorist holding her? That God intercede?

Or would you save your baby and shoot the terrorist?
With the gun God inspired a human mind to invent.


We all know what God has in store for that Boko Haram terrorist.
That's not,non -violence.
