I think these assassination attempts have made an impact on Trump's spiritual life. He seems more humble in his manner and tone.

I cringe when I hear the phrase, we're going to make America great again.

I was born and raised here. For centuries and a great many reasons America remains a great country. We are that beacon on the hill. Still.

True, our light has become slightly overcast by bad governance and the influence of darkness in our political structure.

However, I believe a country formed as one nation under the protection of God cannot then be overcome by the machinations of the evil one.

If anything I believe what is going on within our borders today may be seen as a challenge unto revival.

We witness what apathy in spirit has brought us. Indifference to spiritual sustenance because we allow ourselves to be preoccupied by the distractions survival of this flesh affords.

We work,set our alarms, trudge to work and come home depleted. Do we meditate on the word before breakfast? Do we pray,take time with God before going to work?

Do we Invision wrapping ourselves in the armor of our father before we dress for the day?

When prayer in school was supposedly banned by the courts, did we as Christian children stop praying before class?

I think the implication on that prayer filing was purposefully and precisely that. Thinking we would now believe God has been taken out of our schools by the ruling of men thinking themselves empowered to do so.

And as a result we only found our people living with God slowly departing the forefront of our day to day. To eventually become an afterthought. A bit like those who say they believe in God only to attend church on Christmas and Easter.

I think if we believe America is no longer great we will seek a material political world savior from the platform that first let us believe America needs saving from the damnation of bad politics.

America is a Constitutional Republic with a Democratic form of governance. We the people elect whom we choose to represent our best interests and from those ones among us. We're not a monarchy where blood lines take rule.

I think if we revive our spirits in the light of God our Savior, we as a regenerate born again people will then overcome what we are currently led to believe needs overcoming. As in a weak subordinate nation and people.

Because that illusion of the darkness dominating is just that.

America is a great country. As one nation under the protection and authority of our great God. I think we the people need to cleave to that fact. And remind the darkness of its place. As that what is cast down as shadow by the brilliant light that is God's power.
