Two Resurrections; Life and Damnation = John 5;25-29, Matthew 23;14

## LIFE
---------

John 5;25-29
Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in Himself; so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself; And hath given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of Life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of Damnation.

Acts 24;15
And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

Isaiah 26;19
Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Luke 20;34-36
And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world marry, and are given in marriage: But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

John 11;25-26
Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

I Peter 1;3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead; To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Revelation 20;4-6
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

## Damnation
-------------------

Matthew 23;14
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.

Matthew 23;33
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Luke 20;46-47
Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts; Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.

John 5;28-29
Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Romans 13;2
Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

II Peter 2;2-3
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

A person's conduct, whether good or evil, reveals the condition of his heart. A good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. You shall know them by their fruits. (Matthew 7:17-20)

Doing good flows from a heart that is saved and doing evil flows from a heart that is unsaved. *Notice that ALL who come forth unto the resurrection of life (believers) are described as those who have done good and ALL that come forth unto the resurrection of damnation (unbelievers) are described as those who have done evil.

These verses are very misunderstood maam. Many people understand that God is going to resurrect individuals and then cast them into the lake of fire, however that is not true. God is not evil, nor unjust.

The unrighteous who are resurrected are those who never served God, and I might add for various reasons, but most of them did not have the opportunity to know God. Think of all the billions of people that never had the opportunity to come to know Him. In fact, only in the last century or so has full knowledge of God been fully released Dan 12:4.

The Bible tells us at Rom 6:7 that you are acquitted of sin upon death, and that all will be resurrected as you mentioned, and I will say that does not include those who sinned against the holy spirit, because there is no redemption for them. Mat 12:31

All those who are resurrected will have the opportunity to serve God whether they are righteous or unrighteous. Most of us do not get everlasting life until after the Millennial reign of Christ Rev 20:5 Only those of the first resurrection receive it upon their resurrection Verse 6
